A customer has a question and I hope we can get some opinions on it, thanks
“I have a question about the ww auto, I am a small grower with a tent for veg and bathroom for flower. Can I veg the autos under 150 HPS on 18/6 schedule, then after 30-40 days, move them
to flower room under 400 HPS for the rest of the plants life? Will the yield and quality be as good if I did under 400 HPS the whole way? Please let me know, I need to start moving things along a little faster. Also, see the pic of my AK-47 (not auto), I am on day 47 in flower. Should be done by the 23rd?”
Personally I use a 150w MH through Veg… and 600w HPS through flower… personally I found they yield less using HPS all the way through lighter airier buds coz plants where stretching due to wrong spectrum, that’s just my opinion I’m sure others may differ
Thanks for the input. I read somewhere that the auto’s will grow no matter what the schedule is. It could just affect the yield and density of the buds. I was just hoping that I could finish the auto’s on a 12/12.
no worries @Honzy… and auto’s do pretty much grow under any schedule… i just grew 2 auto’s on a 12/12 schedule all the way through because i had fem’s on flower… and they grew buds look nice and dense will know in a few days… but the plant is CLEARLY smaller… but as for “FINISHING” urmm if we are saying after week 5 of flower maybe so last week or 2… i cant see that it would actually hurt the plant… she has pretty much finished building her outside size and would just be bulking up on the inside… the extra rest might be good give her more time to turn salts to sugars at night… and shouldn’t affect the yield to severely maybe a few grams on an auto would be interesting to have some more experienced input on this… @bob31@Countryboyjvd1971@Donaldj… any opinions lads or any idea who might have a view??
I’ve never grown Autos my self but from my understanding that is fine to do they in fact they will probably like it
With autos it not necessary to trigger flowering by introducing 12/12 light cycle they do it on time
But the 12/12 should not effect them
