Our friend said growing isn’t for him so he gave my husband this light and I don’t know the watts but my grow room is 5’ by 6’ so I think it will be better than smaller no name of brand from Amazon.

Girl’s sleep during hottest part of the day as they’re in a big walk in closet between bedroom and bath and keeps it cooler. I’ll change light at 6 when I turn lights on. Should I still be about 18 inches from plant?

Go up a few posts and it’s there Bestva but don’t know how many watts
I’m changing from small from Amazon, has no brand name on it. Now I hung the big one Bestva and don’t know how many watts but it lit up the grow room twice as much. Should I have it more than 18 inches from plants?

Why not use both?
18" is probably okay. If it seems like it might be too much, raise them some, maybe to 24", and see how the plants react. If they seem to reach, start lowering it back down. If they seem to still shy away, raise them a little more.

Hey. The bestva should have a tag on the back with watt rating. They are actually rated pretty good in the blurple category.
If it’s a 3000 w it will have 3 fans and is 20.5 x11.5 inches
Pulls 473 watts at wall with both switches on.

That’s the dimensions of light and alot more light, my bedroom and bathroom are pink grow room in between. I could tell since they have grown with small light they seemed to be looking for light. Glad to hear the big one is decent for sure enough for grow room.

Yes it actually puts out right much light. I just switched to QBs and had other issues with ME so I didn’t have a chance to get it dialed in. I have the recommended distances I can post in the AM if you like

@Am_nesia this is my grow journal if you see anything that looks unusual let me know. I messed up 1st grow cause hadn’t found the forum yet. Hopefully this grow will go good. It at least gave me some decent nice smelling buds to last till I can harvest again

My husband got medical marijuana card as soon as it was legal but I didnt want to pay $200 but today the new CBD and despensery had a Dr today cheaper so I applied and should receive card in mail 7 to 10 days. Now we can have 12 plants and 12 more started yay 
@cycle1 if you haven’t gone yet it took 5 minutes with Dr then they snap pic and send receipts by email. He asked "so what are we going to use to qualify you? " I said 4 back and 1 neck surgery he said ok and didn’t have to fill out papers like my husband did. Dr $75 your state fee $20 and 22.50 for card to be made and sent to you. I got some little discount with Medicare. You can also use Medicaid if you have it.

@ktk007 this is my grow journal as I said I’m a beginner also but have read alot on forum and downloaded Bergman marijuana grow bible and he has one that shows pics of deficiencies. I’ve asked alot of questions and I know 100 times more than 6 months ago but still trying to learn. The ph and ppm are very important and I went Happy Frog potting soil (not one with fertilizer) and follow fox farm feeding schedule but my plants were 5 weeks old before I needed nutes maybe older I had a slip in memory and forgot to record a few things, to many smoke breaks 
so I counted the 1st week I gave them nutrients as week 1 not by the plants age as schedule refers to, different people count different ways. I’ve ordered the ff powdered trio you use during flowering I here it works great. I just keep collecting stuff as I can snd just about have it, I hope

Also you can pull up list of other people’s grow journal and go on and just read, I learn all kinds of stuff that way. Then if you want to ask one of them a question tag them with the question in your grow journal and 6 months from now if you forget the answer you can flip back in journal and read again. I made mistake of asking questions where ever I saw topic soon realized there was no way to get back to it unless your memory is better than mine and you remember who’s thread you were on. There is someone available on this forum to help you with anything, it’s amazing. I love growing marijuana
