Aye bro, my run off has been 6.5 pH now it’s 5.0 and Im week 4 day 1 flower stage.
What do I do.

Probably flush and reset. Sounds like salt build up. Run off ppms?

Ok, I’ll do that. Not sure did not check PPM but I should get it down to what ??300?? Then restart it

Start checking your run off ppms, it’s good to try and balance run off with input.

Flushing to get your pH in range if by the time it’s in range your ppms are low, then feed immediately following the flush. Try to get it to around 800-1000ppms with correct pH or at least in the safe zone for your medium.

Okay, flushed with my tap. The pH on my tap is like 7.5 so I used it. Tested the runoff 6.5 and 300ppm after flush.
Fed them immediately after ( a regular 1/4 strength FF) and today the plant looks alot healthier.
I don’t like my tap. I don’t have RO, I’m not buying water to feed plants, are the britta water filters that are like tea containers that go in the fridge…are they okay.???
Ppms ATM are 1000ish

Good job :+1: flushing with tap for pH is exactly what I’d do.

Most of the time tap is ok to use. Britta filters far as I know typically just remove odors rather than ppms. What are the ppms of your tap water?

I’ve never checked other than going to the water department and getting a printed out CCR report, which probably tells me.
I’ve never looked with my meter prior to nutes being in my water.
I’m probably dumb for this .

Not dumb- but worth knowing. :+1: my area only updates water reports like every 10 years. I’ve had to turn to lab testing too. Found ZERO chorine or chloramines. Mostly calcium. What bothers me about that is all our water comes from the river, they couldn’t find any sanitizers?! :scream:

Our Chloramine is just under the amount that causes the feds to shut them down.
I will now be only using HEB Drinking water to mix my mud up

Nice.i think they are looking pretty good so far

this is how i see it too. had lots of the ‘same’ strain in the past turning out quite significantly different

Chlorine off gasses pretty fast, I can run it through a carbon filter and barely smell it, if I leave it in an open container unfiltered its usually free of any chlorine. Chloramine, on the other hand, does not evaporate like that and if you have it, its best to not use that water for plants. Honestly, I wouldn’t even drink it regardless of what they say. Id shower and do dishes with it but thats all.

Which is a huge deal. For me. I literally cannot afford to buy water, BUT…I’m on lake travis. Does that water , if I boil it, make a difference?
Our Chloramine levels are very high, literally just under what is illegal.
I started using HEB water, but that got costly.

And yeah I don’t drink it, which I get it, if it’s not good enough to drink, dont give it to your plants.

Is the lake water better if I filter and boil?
I’ll do that, if it’s an option

It all works the same way dont matter how it looks as long as u get the neds u need/want there is no qorries on what anyone feels or says as long as it makes u happy. I was total co twnt qith javing my foam and tape room too but my wife didnt like looking at the foam stuff being its in my front room so i had to do a quick slap togwther lol.

They do jave filters that r not super expensive u can purchase to hook to ur hose or sink that filters the water. Its not quite like ro water filter but it fimters out enough shit to make the water more safe for pla ts and animals to co sume. I know amazon has them and there were quite a few on here qho use them i just went out and got a ro syatem qith a xtra 10gallon reserve tabk if i could redo this option i def would abnd go qith like a to buddy or similar that makes the water a bit faster than what mine does now.

Usually the utility will have a water report that ells you what is in the water. The lake water may be fine to use for plants, just not for drinking. If the Ec is kinda high, you want to know what its high in, and simply add less of that. Or you can grow in an organic based medium which handles water with higher ec better and certainly handles ph swings much better. And ultimately you can use filters if you want to remove conductive materials but that comes at a cost. If you know whats in the water it may save you on certain ferts in the long run.

I definitely have dealt with a fluctuating PH.
I don’t get it.
Drops to 5 alot
Then 8.0 tap to bring it back up, holds at 6.3-5 ish and then drops to 5??
