I hope i did the right thing

Well guys ive been fighting with my mind and he last few days over a question and the question was whether or not to flip the light cycle to a 12/12 to try to make my gorilla glue auto to flower as it is going on 8weeks old ,and this has been such a hard thing to decide believe it or not ive been asking content creators who grow if i should change to a 12/12 cycle and some say yes and a couple said no and ive watched videos about it and it was very similar advice i was already given i took all of this in to consideration i weighed up the pros and cons of doing this and really there only one con that i can find and that is that my purple lemonade auto might only get small buds so i might end up with only a ounce or two but the pros weigh out more ,yes i mite end up with a small yield from the purple but thats fine cause the potential yield from the gorilla glue could be highest yielding plant i have ever done ,this one plant when it starts to flower could give me a pound or more specially if it turns out its a photoperiod plant .but what do yous guys think do you believe i done the right thing or a bad mistake

8 weeks is usually the target for me if I’m flipping photos. I would say you’ve done the right thing , Managing the space you’re working with. Good luck

Yah well this gorilla glue was supposed to be a autoflower but hey i will take a photoperiod plant anytime

Sometimes you get a Stubborn auto , I would move on with the flip. Either way you should have a nice Harvest.

Sounds like the 12/12 flip was the correct thing to do. If you toss up a photo of the plants someone may be able to give pointers on other areas of the grow.
Happy growing…

This is the plant in question its supposed to a auto but it seems like a photo she is a big plant for what she is and i know its going to get a whole lot bigger it will take up most of that tent

The only way this happens is if your light is too small for your grow space. Running light longer increases daily light integral. Having more powerful light also increases daily light integral. If dli is the same either way plant potential should also be about the same either way.

My light is a 300watt light ive never had any problem lile this before and these are different genetics to what i normally run using fast buds genetics other people said they had the same problem with the gorilla glue autos

I have no idea really what your situation is. Im just saying that amount of light time is relative to intensity of light. If you run a ppfd average of 400 umols/s for 18 hours the plants process the same energy as running a ppfd average of 600 umols/s for 12 hours. Saying specifically that autos will yield more on 18 hours of light is only true if the dli exceeds that of someone doing it on 12 hours at lower dli.

Anyone who says this could have nothing to do with anount of time lights are on and just be a light that doesn’t have high enough light output. Your situation could not be related at all, and just a lower yielding strain than what you’ve run in past.

Because i have a auto flowering at the moment my ppfd is sitting on 850 and my dli is 45
