you could read about growing pot for 1 billion hours, and you’re still gunna be at square one once you finally start.

you made a good decision already by joining these forums, people here really take pride in it and wanna genuinely see you win.
If I win 1.5 billion tonight I’ll need someone to adopt the plants from this grow. I won’t be able to care for them from my new yacht. Any volunteers? Lol
Your tent will fit on the boat!
If you got that kinda jingle I’d say hire someone to tend to them while your building you new grow facility !
The closet is too crowded for my liking. Normally I can have 4 in there comfortably, but the Samsquanch OG and one of the ManBearAlienPigs are a mile wide and really squeezing each other for space.
Tonight I’m going to switch a couple of things around. Froot by the Foot # 1 and the ILGM Wedding Cake are both tall but fairly narrow. I’m going to move them out of the 2 1/2 x 5 tent and put the Samsquanch and the MBAP in there instead. Moving the 2 skinnier girls into the closet should make things less crowded and get them off each other a bit.
That is a beautiful picture. Froot by the foot?!? Bro where’d did you get those seeds that sounds amazing
Thank you @TMC.PRE. I got the Froot by the Foot auto seeds from my local grow store, but they’re available online from Atlas Seeds. I had one in my last grow and she yielded 9 ounces of killer buds. That’s why I have 2 of them going in this grow. I normally stick with ILGM and Mephisto seeds only, but now I’m very comfortable saying that Atlas Seeds is on my list of great breeders.
Those are getting humongous! Looking great Cap!!
Oh ok I gotcha yeah I feel like ive heard of Atlas seeds before glad it’s working out brother looks great! I might have to browse their selection.
Cap, you’re as insightful as you are an obviously good grower
I don’t want to clog up your thread with all my stuff, so I’m gonna start a thread for all my gazillion questions. Thanks for the help!
Them girls are looking mighty fine. At the rate you’re going I’ll bet you $10 yours will be done before mine
I always feel like the odd kid out hen I see these tall plant being grown. Mine all start to lay over mid flower. I have to use top nets for them. It sucks some times since it keeps me from not using my scrogs. Your grow is looking awesome. in a few weeks. I may get to start a journal too
@Lostgirl, I’m hoping they’ll be done by Nov. 19th, but I’d still be happy if it’s on Nov. 26th, but most likely it will be Dec. 3rd. I hope you’re long done at that point, lol.
@Not2SureYet, that’s funny because I wish I could successfully keep these damn girls on the shorter side. I hit them with much stronger than normal light this time hoping to keep them squat, but it didn’t help. I think I would have to get rid of the far red bulbs to keep them shorter, but it really seems to help them overall. They never have that droopy look before lights out when I use the far reds.
I read an article that discussed the use of red and far red light. It said far red has different effects depending on the plants growth stage. Seedling til mid veg, I believe, it triggers vertical grow as the plant thinks it’s being shaded. In flower and late veg far red causes a chemical response that essentially turns on or reinforces that it should be flowering. It said that the plants photoperiod perception can be manipulated for flowering by the use of far red lights in the middle of dark period or to correct night interruption. Phytochrome is the pigment being manipulated with red inducing vegative growth and far red flower production. They also mentioned the use of far red for 10 minutes at the start of each dark period to quicken the plants response to the lights turning off.
It also mentions the use of green and blue spectrums to manipulate growth.
That is the reason why I got them. I read an article a while back that explained it in pretty good detail. Supposedly without the far red it can take 2 plus hours for them to get into sleep mode, and I know that’s not the correct terminology, lol, but you get the point. With only 6 hours of rest time, it sucks to think that 2 of them are wasted.
So I’ve noticed 100% for sure that when I don’t use them, my plants always look tired for the last few hours of lights on. It appears to look like they’re under watered, but I know they aren’t. With the far reds, they never look that way. Their leaves are upright and normal lights on to lights off. So that’s why I’m still using them.
I also read about shade avoidance syndrome, but a lot of what I read was over my head, lol.
You and me both but I’m a persistent lil bugger so I’ll read it, think about it, read it some more until I decide it’s irrelevant (lose interest) or the light in my head comes on. Apparently there’s something too it as Phillips makes lights with spectrum control and a PLC for making em do what ya want. The link is on my journal. I found it while researching flowering with a 10 hr dark period.
This is why i went to a 6/2 schedule cycled 3 times a day. They never give me that droopy look and I’ve seen much better growth from it.
It’s amazing how different a plant can appear in a pic from straight on and one from overhead. Here’s the big Froot by the Foot in a straight up shot.
And the same plant from overhead.
So I got things moved around last night to free up a bit of leg room for them in the closet, but I couldn’t put the Samsquanch OG in the tent, she’s just too damn wide.
So this is the big FBTF on the left, and the Samsquanch on the right.
The 3rd girl in closet now is the smaller FBTF, and she’s much more narrow than the MBAP I moved out, so she’s not invading her neighbors space nearly as bad.
And the 4th one in this pic is the ILGM Wedding Cake. She’s also more narrow than the other MBAP.
Here’s the smaller FBTF and the ILGM Wedding Cake before I got them in the closet.
I didn’t get finished feeding and moving them until after midnight. The room is pretty small, and it’s a real pain in the ass for me to take plants out of 2 of the grows at once because I don’t have the space to put them anywhere, lol. I end up having to crawl around the room between the pots.
So now the 2 ManBearAlienPigs are in the 2 1/2 x 5 tent, and their buds are really starting to fatten up. I can’t wait to see how these girls progress.
Daaayuum, your killing it as usual! I thought mine looked good but compared to yours mines like a ghetto grow. What you feeding em with, a slingshot??
