Can anyone recommend good reliable mini hygrometers to put in Grove bags thank you.

I use the little black ones on Amazon.

The one’s you use Do they seem pretty accurate? i see so many reviews on how they have all of them in the same bag and read different readings while in the same bag.

No. i don’t kid myself on accuracy but it gets me “close enough for government work” its probably +/- 3% or so.

I know @Hellraiser uses the cigar humidor ones they are like $25 a pop and @MidwestGuy uses the inkbird ones which are are around $15. I just bought a inkbird one they are nice but have the same calibration +/- 3 % rh just depends which holds its calibration better. I got the inkbird to try it but i think its too expensive to replace the cheapy small ones i currently use and i can just replace them yearly if need be

thats awesome, i need to get new batteries lol

These are what I bought last time

They are cheap and not consistently accurate. But they are close enough for me. For example, 7 to 9 of the 12 will be within a degree of each other. The others may be 2 or more different.

I used to believe I was better off with inaccurate readings than no readings at all, but I’ve since thrown all of these mini hygrometers in the garbage. I’m certain that I messed up jars and grove bags of good buds because I believed the bad readings. Now, after enough years of practice, and a good moisture meter to check the buds before I bag or jar them, I do much better without them.
I had this group of them on my kitchen table for a long time, and they never came close to being in sync with each other, and I think they’re even more inaccurate in a small sealed space with some moisture present.

Yea i was going to buy some of these but what’s the sense if all readings are different you really don’t know what’s right and what’s not. I bought one of these to check bud’s before Grove bags

@Tom6377 Yeah, that’s the same moisture meter I got. You can definitely trust the readings from that way more than those useless hygrometers!

Agree completely…I put the buds in the Grove bags at the right moisture and let them do their thing. Have not had an issue yet with 39 oz. cured so far this year.

i stuck the probe to my ac-i controller into the groove bag and left it to sit for a day or 2 after about a month of curing read 64%. After i did that ill never go back to jars. Had a picture but i think i purged it out of the phone

to bad you cant calibrate them or can you?

Unfortunately there’s no calibration ability, and I forgot to mention in my previous post that I think they get even more out of whack the older they get.
