With the low cost of RO filter it sure helps and only what you put in the water is what your working with.

Same. Iām doing a redesign on my system as i learned a huge amount from my first grow.
This is what i use in my RDWC with great results. Iām averaging 10 ounces per plant my last grow.

morning @SmittyJ ā¦I am not familiar with those nutrientsā¦Cal-Mag if you are using RO or distilled waterā¦if you are using tap water it is not needed ā¦I am going to suggest to keep it to the basic NPK nutrients. and half the manufacturer recommendationā¦most of the extras are not needed for most growsā¦you need some kind of silica Si for stem strength because of the fast growthā¦
I would recommend these only plus a root inoculant. Great advice from @Retiredoldguy 
What medium are you using in your DWC net pots?
I donāt see a reservoir to recirculate your nutrient rich water. I do see an air pump to supply air to roots.
Distilled water is a great option but it seem your tap water at 100 ppm is a perfect option. My tap water is a bit over 200 ppm and works fine when my catchment system runs dry. Rain water is what I mostly use. Iāve added a 20 gallon cistern and a few well placed buckets in my backyard.
Iāve been using GH Flora Series for a long time. I try to adhere to above feed chart.
For Hydroguard I use it each time I add water at at 1ml per gallon.
Keep water temp around 68F When you add to your bucket. Make sure to get them plenty of fresh air and keep temps below 85F and above 65F.
Hey LateNightGardner and thanks for the reply. I am using the clay pebbles for the top tray medium. My setup doesnāt have a reservoir, it uses air to create suction in the individual buckets in order to top feed so its really not a true RDWC system.

Ok I saw the drip rings but wasnāt sure about the pebbles. That works great. I have a couple like that from GH called water farms. They are 3 gallon rectangular buckets with drip rings. I went to the 5 gallon bubble buckets for the higher capacity. I just over fill the first week when the roots arenāt longer enough.
I am wondering if those two gals I have growing will take to transplanting. I am worried about that. My hydroguard and pH up will be delivered tomorrow so Iāll have everything together finally and can go through the final steps.
Any suggestions about transplanting?

never mind I read your first post and you are moving from soil to hydroā¦I have seen some try to clean the roots of the soil but I cannot say if they were successful or notā¦I personally would not expect this to work out in your particular type of DWC ā¦ any particles left could clog your system and it needs to flow to workā¦
Thank you and yes that was the plan, I didnāt think about the clogging issue, I was concerned about killing the plants with the shock of changing from soil to hydro.
I have done that once. My advice would be to submerge your plants soil with water to help loosen it up. Add an additional airline with an air stone in the bottom of your bucket. Iāve used both the drip loop and air stone in my setup. Extra air to the roots is a good thing. Drop your plant into the net pot without any clay pellets so roots have a better to get to the water. Then add your water nutrient mixture. Then youāll add the clay pellets on top. It shouldnāt matter too much about clogging your drip loop. Just fill your bucket a little higher such that water level reaches the bottom of the net pot.
You can always toss the water buckets contents in a couple weeks when you do a water change out.
Just be careful to handle the roots with care. The pre soak will help loosen the soil.

My setup has 4-5 gallon buckets, Iāve only got two setup for now. All of the materials for the solution should be delivered today, I hope to have everything ready for the transfer by tomorrow afternoon. Fingers crossed!
Excellent idea! Yes this makes me feel good, I was just reading on the rapid rooter bag about using them for clippings to clone. I think that is a much better idea. Thank you bro!
Thatās my method as well. Rock solid aeroponics, I do run a start stop timer but itās not always necessary. Ezcloner is by far the most friendly system I have used.
