Leave large fan leaves yes I would remove any thing not receiving enough light. Likely you’ll see and notice lots if explosive growth, and shock, it shouldn’t shock her at all she should take very well to it
I’m with @Majiktoker on this one. Trim stuff that does not get light. The plant is wasting the extra energy it has keeping the " Larf" alive. I feel a healthy thriving plant ( like yours look at the moment) it will respond well to a nice Brazilian:wink:. The plants you have look great btw nice flat exited leaves… looking good bro! Remember it’s always a learning experience even if you have done it for 30 years. You simply cannot know what a plant will do until you try it for yourself in my opinion. You have nothing but time my freind and the plants aren’t going anywhere so I say experiment, heck I haven’t been able to kill one yet although it may not have been much of smoker it was still alive:joy: happy growing
.
I’ve made a mistake, I’ve raised my LED (first time using over twice with HPS) and have done 2 things
1, stretched the hell out of the poor girls.
2 the light intensity isn’t get down far enough and even after taking all the bottom leaves (to see no stress, thanks) but now the next 6 in of leaves and shoots are just wilting.
I’m on day 28 into 56 day flower. Is it too late to select non preforming shoots and wilting leaves off??
I can’t do the easy option of dropping the light,
Blessings.
No, it’s not too late. In fact you could try cloning the shoots you remove. Taking clones from a flowering plant is referred to as “monster cropping”. You typically wouldn’t do that until the plant is 21 days into flowering… So at 28 days into flower, now would be the perfect time.
Also, you said you are at day 28 of 56. Keep in mind the 56 is just an average. Your plant(s) could finish sooner or they could take longer. Rather that going by the number of days, you’ll want to go by the pistols and trichomes. When 80% of the pistols have darkened and curled in AND 20% of the trichomes have turned amber, she will be ready to harvest.
