@Wigsplit I’m growing ak47 auto and I’ve been thinking about the 24/0 light. My ak47 is only 2 days old and I’m wondering if the 24/0 makes them grow taller than if you do a 16/8? I’m a real noob on indoor grows and Id like to understand your thoughts on this. I know there are guys doing both 24/0 and 18/6 here.

I’ve tried both I get a huge difference between both light cycles … normally I get 6-10 inches more on the 24 hour light cycle … which leads to more yield 18-6 gave me a thick short plant with less yield … as far as my auto grows

On this particular grow I have height issues. So I think I’m gonna go with keeping my plant smaller for now. I can make up for it on the next grow.
If I can overcome the height issues I can go back to 24/0

I think your issue was the pot size man … you gave those roots to much room to develop ( which is not bad )but if your limited to space go 3 or even 2.5 gallons brother … and you should get a smaller plant … anyhow I hope it turns out good for you :+1:

Other factors including light intensity make plants grow taller, 24 / 7 will make them grow faster

Photo 1/ Test 1 My results on 18/6 and 24/0 difference on same strain … not only did my 18/6 stay short it matured a lot faster …
Photo 2 / Test 2 i did this one recently just so I could confirm to myself again my 18/6 is a lot shorter then my 24/0 plant and showing signs of maturing quicker this based on my testing which I’m no expert but you can see it for yourself.

@Paranorman @Wigsplit thanks guys. I like what leaving the light on does for the plants but I am in a pretty restricted space so I put her on a 18/6 last night She’s still pretty young and all. Next grow I will have more space.

Just harvest the short one today she was only 14 1/2 inches tall yield almost 4 oz wet which I’m sure it will be maybe 1 oz dry not bad for 47 days dense nuggets real happy for such a small plant and not to mention the resinous trim … I got almost 2.5 oz of trim :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::+1::+1::+1: will post pics of nuggets as soon I get back home …

Wow, mega trim! Sweet

Cfls take more time, that is what’s im earning with mine, g-14 classified is what’s it’s under it def takes more time for growth under cfl… but it does work. Keep the faith bruh

Yeah if you want to shorten them and fatten those buds, i would suggest (if the stalks are not too hard to bend) taking the top and tying it down to the side of the bucket. This will stress the plant and allow the sub branches to start jockying to make bigger nugs as the plant thinks it was injured and promotes the sub branches to form new tops.

Now, mine are still displaying so many different traits, i am starting to think i got a multi strain pack versus all white widow. Not upset about it at all though…:sunglasses:, but it was sure confusing.

I see my stem shot did not upload so here ya go.

they are all bigger than my thumb.

What is your medium choice for autos and nutrient levels you feed these babies? They are gorgeous!
