@Fever you want to hang carbon filter in tent and attach ductvwork to that run out of tent to inline fan intake side of fan then run duct off other side of fan to wherever your going to exhaust your air
I don’t know how a carbon filter could cause death :skull:
Unless it fell on your head from 100 feet up hahaha
Did you get 1 inch black straps with your tent bro
Another question do you use vented hoods or leds

To add a visual to what was already said…

I did just what @Countryboyjvd1971 said but I put my motor in the tent, just seemed easier than trying to mount it elsewhere. The only duct is the few inches between the motor and the tent sleeve.

That works also
I have the luxury of wood floor joist to screw into and is saved room inside but if that works better for you @Fever that setup would be fine as well

Yeah, I probably would have too in that case

I was more trying to stress minimizing duct with curves or bends and the filter up high.

But, you were smart enough to ask about vented lights! Right on man, that impressed me…

It makes a difference if where. He would place filter only difference would be filter hood fan combo

Yeah that warning is for the same people the warning on a iron to remove clothing before ironing is for

I vent mine thru intake side sucking air from open vent on top of tent and connect ducting to outward side blowing exhausted hot air and smell thru the scrubber connected to the very end of my ducting with scrubber on the floor and it’s absolutely no scent. Now I did have my scrubber in tent like most do and was pulling air thru the scrubber into the fan out but still had slight smell, but now blowing air :cloud: thru the scrubber I have no smell in my opinion.

My filter has always had to be on the outside with the air pushing due to my limited interior space and as long as I close the tent I have no issues with smell . Now I have a bigger tent I was going to hang it inside but now I will just leave it like it has always been thanks @yoshi

It works best for me that way @Oldstoner so I’m only giving my opinion on what works best for my tent.

Always worked good for me that way to I just thought it was backwards because all the pics have them hanging inside on here lol . They screwed up and sent me a extra filter when I contacted them to say it was dented next week a new vent tech filter was on the front porch . So I will change it out but was wondering if you could put one inside and one outside and it still move enough air @yoshi ?

Im loving the filter as a little stand for the fan motor @Hogmaster doing mine like that to help keep it compact good idea

What do you mean have one inside and have one outside and move enough air as long as you have the fans suck in the air you should be good

Depends on the size of the fan, ate you talking about pulling thru one scrubber and than blowing out thru the other? I’m not absolutely sure on that but very interesting, I’ll definitely check into that options and see what comes up.

Mine is setup like this which gives me total control in temps and humidity on demand with speed controllers.
