Hello everyone…how can I reduce the amount of nitrogen? I am using TerraAquatica tripart fertilizers (ex ghe fert). I am using the dosages recommended by them, second week of flowering. Both grow and micro contain nitrogen. Would it be enough for me to remove grow and keep the same dosages or would I risk imbalances? At the moment the ec of the nutrient solution is 1.4, should I maintain it using only micro and bloom and change the quantities or as written before I simply remove grow and the ec that comes out following their dosages, will it be correct and sufficient? Thanks everyone.
Why do you want to reduce nitrogen? Nitrogen is extremely important during the first 5 weeks of flowering. The most rapid growth rate a plant will experience is during the initial flowering stretch. It is nitrogen that powers that rapid growth.
Hi, it’s not that I want to take it out now, but I’m interested in understanding before it’s too late and I have some problems, whether in this cycle or the next. I have no burnt tips, ec input 1.5 ph 6.5, ec output 1.4 and ph 6.3. I’m just curious how it can be solved in the case of a strain that doesn’t like nitrogen.
Cannabis is cannabis and the difference between the strains is limited to the cannabinoid content, the terpine profile, coloration at harvest, and tolerance to some environmental factors such as temperature. There are no strains that won’t like nitrogen so long as the level maintained is within guidance. I would keep the nutrient balance consistent with the product instructions throughout the grow.
Target 2.0.

To answer your question, you can make modest tweaks in the recipe, if they are needed. If you go just getting rid of needed fertilizers that won’t work out well either.
This stuff is basically relabeled general hydroponics. If you look around you should find plenty of alternative recipes. There is a large group of growers that don’t even use the grow bottle and add a little calmag
Yes, GH Lucas formula does not use grow at all, only micro &bloom entire grow. I add cal/mag and in bloom stage I add a bloom enhancer
I wouldn’t worry about reducing nitrogen. Cannabis loves nitrogen and will use it even when flowering.
When plants are flowering they need a bit more potassium (K). You can use the normal fertilizer and add extra potassium if you like. However, the plants benefit from potassium more if they get it for a month before flowering as well as during flowering. Adding extra when the plant is half way through flowering won’t make much difference to the end result.
Just keep using the fertilizer you have at the dose rates you have been using and let the plant finish flowering. If you get lots of yellow leaves during flowering, increase the fertilizer regime.
Hi, thanks to everyone for the replies. I will continue with these dosages, maybe I will try the Lucas formula on one, in the next cycle. Have a good week everyone.
