Considering what some of us growers do to the plants I would say you can pretty much do what you want.
I avoid touching flowers since I want the resin on the buds and not my fingers, but thats not really gonna hurt them either.

It’s hard not to give your buds a cheek pinch I think we’re all guilty there just so cute and then you get to smell your fingers

@Spiney_norman has you covered.I do a lot of torture to my plants and they seem to like it a lot. Your definitely gonna have some sticky fingers if your in flower.
