I have a 4.5 gallon bucket which measures 1ftx1ft. So the area of a cylinder is A=PI(3.14) x radius/squared x L.
That would give you 3.14 cubic ft per pot x 4 = 12.56 or times 5 = 15.7 cubic feet

Well I’m glad you gave me the answer to that equation because I don’t think I’d be able to find it lol. Are there any other things you mix in to it? Perlite etc?

Yes They say to add perlite helps get oxygen to the roots

I’d say a good ratio would be 20-25‰ but that’s just my personal opinion

The exact science on this is a bit unknown, but the deal is 4 handfuls per 5 gallon bucket unless you have smaller hands then 5 or if you wear catchers mitts then 3 should be enough. :grinning:

but seriously…
I just add it and mix it until it looks like my soil is aerated well and I never really measured.

@MAXHeadRoom thanks for the tag and hopefully it helped.

Got three golf leaf in rapid root starters n I’m thinking I’mma make my supreme haze n outdoors girl now so I don’t have to worry about her out growing the little box she’s in waiting for the big one to clear out. Good news I think I’mma start the grape ape seed I have for my big cab or maybe just do 2 autos in it.
