Ripening fruits will release ethylene and the others nearby will get triggered their ripening process too. We have resin-like stuff that releases ethylene to use when I was growing up in Thailand. It’s used like lighting fluid for bbq here. However, the farmers would use it to ripen fruits that were picked green like mangoes. The green fruits would go through the motion of ripening but somehow it never taste good. Like tomatoes in supermarket that were picked when they are green so that they won’t get smashed in transportation. But it d never have taste like vine-ripened tomatoes. I’d imagine the buds that was tricked to ripen wouldn’t taste that good
Read something about ethylene helping to ripen buds faster, but you will lose tons of weight. If you’re still trying to speed things up and are ok losing potential weight, it could be an option.
I still say let them mature as they will.
Does that bud smell weird?
You may want to consider thinning some of those leaves.
Better air flow and remove ones covering lower bud sites and ones that are layered on top of each other. Get some good air flow between bud sites.
Seeing a lot of clawing on the fan leaves too
Doesn’t seem like the lights are causing any issues as far as I can tell from pics.
As Betty mentioned smell it…break it open…look for blackish stuff
I would check that bud for mold. Late of dead leaves and looks off compared to rest of plant
this was the topmost bud on the plant.
it doesnt smell weird, its full of trichomes, but is just very soft (mushy).
seems like bud rot.
