Hot tea ☕ in the morning

Just curious, anyone else brew tea with leaf clippings? Tastes pretty good. Even think I feel a little effect, might just be my mind . Starting to be a every morning thing.

Now and again I do but I prefer using infused cocoa butter I shave some off the chunk and mix it with hot chocolate. So put the powder in add a little milk or cream and stir into a paste ( no powder floating on top )add the shavings so it melts right in and pour on the hot water stir and devour

Are you decarbing it before brewing?

Not sure if I understand

The THC in your trichomes won’t be psychoactive unless the weed is decarboxylated (exposed to sufficient heat to convert THC into THC-A.) Boiling water is not sufficiently hot to convert THC to THC-A. The low end of the temp range for decarboxylation is 212F and it takes ~30 minutes of 212F to convert THC into THC-A. THC won’t get you high. THC-A does, so you won’t get any effect unless the product is decarbed before making tea.

I use stems regularly in chamomile type teas. Delicious.

Great advice I was just going to ask the same thing

We get the question a few times a year, usually from people who are new to making edibles and heard it was necessary but didn’t know how to do a decarb. There are charts out there in search results on the web. The higher the temp (to a limit,) the faster the decarb time.

Smoking weed is hot enough to convert THC into THC-A immediately since it is being burned.

I don’t know if the same is true for CBD as well. Anyone know?

Decarbing is essential to getting a good infusion of THC for edibles that is for sure! For CBD I have no idea I’ve never asked the question lol
I just had one of those hot chocolates I was talking about
