Home lab equipment for terp and %

Right. The meter is like 350 or 400 with the expansion kit. I’m simply noting that the things in the expansion kit can be purchased elsewhere for possibly less money. I have not done the actual math.

@Newt so I was gonna buy it, w the expansion, bc I’m testing my flower. But it only comes w the ability to do 10 tests but can do 1000s? I can’t seem to find where to get that reagent, bc as far as k can see, it’s just a scale and syringes. I’d even splurge for the kit, but I def want yo rest more than 10. So I go to website and see that I can order a refill to it, but again, isn’t it just the reagent? I have tons of materials. Where do I get more tests, ITS THE WHOLE MOTHEREFFING purpose of buying it. I wanna test all kinds of bud. I am drying and curing 10 plants right now. So, like I wanted to test diff parts of the plant, I want the ability to test test test. Idc if it’s 2$ or 5$, I’d prefer it cheaper hence why I invest in one on the first place, but it is what it is, I just want accurate and reliable, consistent analytics. And the ability to test however many tests I want to. Is that my only option? What is the Reagan’s liquid consist of? I’m all about DIY, but I can’t seem to find it anywhere other than their website in a kit refill…is that what I need? I want to test flower for sure. I have a press so I wanna be able to test rosin, I guess. It would be cool if I could have it analyze before harvest to know where it’s at…can it do that it does it have to be dried? Does it have to cure? Sorry all the q’s. I really want something to test my grows and know my smoke and my consumption if I infuse. Does it tell me terps? Can it?

This

@StonedCold13 that’s all I need to run additional flower tests? Lab grade alcohol?

I’m just repeating what newt said above

The 10 tests is based on the 100 ml of reagent that comes with the kit. This is the reagent I got after I used up what was in the kit:

It can also test nearly any infusion:

Yes. This is correct. You will eventually also need some of these:

@Newt so in other words, get the 399$ kit one and reorder those few things as I need them and I can test as many as I want? Like 100s? Can it test raw herb? Like on the plant? Or does it have to be dried? How about rosin? Can it test stuff I press?

@Newt im sorry, one more question. I noticed it tests for THCa. Now, I know that it is different than what one would typically analyze for what we call THC content.

You can get the base meter, plus either the kit, or the stuff from the kit, and do thousands of tests. I believe raw flower has to be dried, but I’m not certain. And you can measure infusions directly, for things like rosin and extractions, you have to make an infusion to test. I recommend the FAQS over at their site. If you do order, use code Check15 for 15% off.

@Newt thank you so much. And the testing thca is just as good as straight thc? I’m gonna order one. My hydro store buddy is excited to be able to try it! I really appreciate the feedback!!!

Depending on the test being run, it will ask if it is decarbed. But if it isn’t, THCa is all you can test for.

So I got one. I’m not sure if I can totally review it unless I got a sample from a lab of my own. I mean, the dispensaries number was 23.5 and I got 22 and 24. So, ya know. I tested something I grew and it was 23.7 and I tested a sone trim bin popcorn flarfy stuff and it was 11.8. So. I have tons of stuff to try. You gotta shake the reagent for 5 minutes. That’s a pain in the ass. It’s good for 10 minutes and the test takes maybe 1. So. Get some friends……lol
