I wish I knew about the refurbs before I bought my first 2 ![]()
I believe its still a 1 year warranty
Yep. I’m sure if you run into issues past that year they’ll still be very helpful.
Scorpion diablo is superior light, but two 350r’s are more than enough light and cheaper.
Tha n ks guys!
Are those 5 gallon or 3? Is that the amount of plants you usually work with?
They’re 5 gallon. I plan on moving a few out once I get my 2x4 tent set up which I’ll be using a 350r in. Have to finish adding circuits to the room. I’m maxxed out on power with the 4x8 and 4x4. ![]()
They’re autoflowers in the 4x4 so I don’t anticipate on them getting extremely big, but ya never know lol
How many autos do you usually grow in the scorpion tent
I think 6 is safe. I see a lot of growers on here "cough @Flipdawg08 " stuff a 4x4 and with photos ![]()
Last question on this light situation and im done talking more about it after this. Lets say as a worse case scenario. If they easily allow me to exchange lights for the scorpion than great but if things don’t turn out well and it becomes difficult to exchange lights. How many plants will i be able to comfotably grow in my 4x4 with my 600rspec…
Should have no problem doing the same. Before I got the Scorpions I had 550rspecs. The 600 is plenty for a 4x4. It’s just not as efficient and the light spread isn’t as even across the canopy.
The cool thing is I had my 550’s in a closet and while chatting at the local hydro shop I managed to sell all 3 to a guy working there. Got most of my money back.
So how does one mitagate that problem? Is there a manufactures suggestion on how to successfully attain an even light distrubution on your plants or are we assed out
Well… overpowering a tent is good. The 600 would work in a 5x5. Reflective material to help(which you have a tent for). The center of a light will always be the hot spot so to speak. As long as your ppfd is within the range during each phase you’re good.
So what your are saying is that the trade off is minimal so to speak. There isnt a huge imbalance just small diffences. Im guess i can live with that.
That’s it. For instance during flower. You may be at 900ppfd in the center and maybe 650 to 700 on the edges which is still in the flowering specs but most of the intensity is in the center.
I suppose its just going to make me a pro when it comes to training. I see how some guys do things with the plants that is amazing.
Here’s a nice plant training tutorial to read.
I know!! I’ve seen hundreds of those tutorials. I can’t wait to try some of those methods.
Its amazing how the plant regenerates
I love it! Thanks buddy much appreciated!
