Just warmed a card up with HLG for a new 650R. They made me a offer to good to refuse. It was upgrade my 260 Rspec setup to Diablo boards and drivers or the 650R. They made it worth my while to just get the 650R. Move the UVA-30 from the dually 260’s to the 650R and call it done. Dual 350R’s w/UVA30-XL in the 2 x 4 and a 650R w/UVA-30 in the 3 x 3. Power and Control, It’s like getting a new Sport Bike to me… LMAO!!
Wish I could figure a way to mount the UVA to my 350r. Prolly just gonna hang it when the time comes.
Can some strip lights be added to the outside edges if there is a way to attach to boost uva?
2 350r’s mounted side by side with some creative engineering would work then you could mount the uva between them but I don’t have that option unless I buy a 3rd larger tent. At some point, I have to draw a line cuz I could keep buying and upgrading forever. I love this.

When I had a single 350R I hung a UVA-30XL next to the fixture along the back. Was going to cut out some alum. plate tabs and mount them to the fixture backplate then hang the UVA-30XL off the tabs. Then the stinking thinking started. If one 350R is good, two is much better! So two it was. Used a 2" x 2’ x 1/8" piece of alum. plate. Bolted the lights together and mounted the UVA-30XL to that between the two fixtures. And the Super 350R for 2 x 4 was born.
First mod, I-Bolts replace driver mounting screws and nuts so a HLG 100 V2 @ 4000k can be hung off the 350R for seedlings and very early veg.
350R hung with seedling light in place and UVA-30XL hung on the back side. Setup did not last long.

The 650R will be simple. Remove the screws that hold the driver and install the mounting clips for the UVA-30 and install. Then drill one hole for the seedling 100 V2 and install a small I-Bolt for it to hang off of when in use. Then install 4 ea. 1/4-20 I-Bolts for the chains I use to hang the fixture with, done! 
Woo-Hoo 650R has shipped! I know I get giddy as a school girl over such stupid things. But on the other hand this is the end of the upgrade path. There is nowhere else to go for my grows and setup. So that is kind of depressing on a selfish sort of level. I know what’s coming from HLG and there about to turn the grow light industry on there ear. But none of it applies to my style and size of grows, damit… Maybe down the road. But for now I will take the great uniform PAR spread and penetration from center, corner to corner and edge lighting. Massive power, control and efficiency for my size tents with a great spectrum.

I am 5 weeks ahead of where I was last time with the big tent and 350r.
I’m not going to play silly word games. Things are happening, some of which are monumental.
HPS IS THE ONLY WAY ID USED MARS HYDRO BUT LED PUT OUT BLUE LIGHT DURING BLOOMING. THE BUDS WILL GET BIG WITH LEDS BUT QUALITY AND Potency Will definitely go down. Because when you are blooming you are not supposed to use blue lights at all that’s the downfall of an led. You can use led Vegging but to be on the Safe side I would use an HPS. If you don’t have one take a look at your settings and see if you Can gim the blue light. I don’t like those white lights and they try to tell you that it puts out the same it does not.

But I will respectfully disagree on a couple things.
1 Comparing the Mars to a HLG is like apples to oranges. Also the new LEDs are not what they used to be years ago.
2 In my opinion some blue light during bloom will result in more leaf and a little smaller buds, but doesn’t effect quality.
In the mid 90s I was running a little closet grow with only using a 400 watt MH. Throughout the bloom cycle. This produced some the smelliest and most potent weed that I have ever done.
Lastly the reduced heat output, and energy input with the LED is truly amazing.
Going back to any level or type of HID for me would be like shutting down my 1 gigabit net connect and firing up a telegraph terminal. I stuck with the old tech until I got my first gen1 HLG 260. No burples, no cheap Amazon china lights. Straight from the old tech to HLG and ain’t looking back.
Nice new toy u got!. I find it weird though how the 350r is 15 to 24" but the 650r is 30 to 36" mount height.
Spread of the boards and light concentration. Also the shear power. I’m warming up the 650R and burning it in right now. So far on highest dimmer setting I’ve seen 677 watts on the Kill-A-Watt and a amp clamp. That should go down as it burns in and heat cycles a few times. But with 4 ea. of those Diablo boards so close together it can get insanely bright. And it’s all concentrated unlike a 350R or a Scorpion. Now with my dual 350R’s in the 2 x 4 there are two boards side by side on each end of the fixture setup and they can get pretty darn rowdy if you stomp on the dimmers with each 350R pulling 336 watts each. I find all the suggest hanging heights misleading from all the manufactures myself.
How many jewls is each bulb , 2.5 or 2.7 I know the Mars hydro TS 1000 Has a rating of 2.7 jewel bulb.
How is the setting on yours can you turn off the blue and just use Orange and red.

Like u i also use two 350r in my tent. Its a good point you make though, because two of them close may change the statistics.
