HLG 135 v2 rspec Height above plants?

Hi Guys,
Just set up my new HLG 135 , man its bright nearly blinded me!
So have it currently set at approx 24inch above plants, they are only 2 weeks old. Is this the correct height? If not what distance do I need light for young seedling, veg and bloom stages? Thanks so much guys.

You’ll be happy with the results of your new light. You can Google Horticulture Lighting Group they have several videos on different height .

okay kelly will do, thanks for that.

Your safe to lower the light in bit. I tend to run mine a little closer, 12-15" from the top of the plant. I also have a 16" fan blowing through the canopy. My rule of thumb is after lowering the light place your hand at the level of the canopy, if it gets hot in after a minute your too close.

I’m running two 260 R-Spec in Bloom I end up 18 to 21 inchs. Veg a little higher watch how you plants respond when you move lights down or up

@dbrn32 Hi mate , hoping you can help me with my dimmer settings on the HLG 135w.
Should I dim at all and if so how much and when? All I know is it has the volt adjust and current adjust.
Thanks Hot Dogs, btw I have a sheep dog here in Australia , a black and white one. Border
Collie, very smart dog.

You should be able to use io adjust (current) to do everything you need and not have to mess with voltage once set.

Are you running in 2x2 tent?

I have a 2x2 room I built which is drywall (we call it plaster) inside and has a door, its pretty much totally airtight. Where do I set the voltage to ?

I’ve got v2 132s from hlg that I run as close as 7 or 8 " to the tiny ones in a 2 x 4 x 5 tent, 4" exhaust fan plus use a 30 cm pedastool fan outside of tent and have No worries. All flaps on outside of tent are open but I’m flowering atm. Would have flaps shut otherwise. Don’t be too afraid of driving the light close as we are only playing with pretty weak lighting as far as it goes… ALL GOOD, WE CAN STILL NAIL IT IF CONDITIONS ARE KEPT CONSISTENTLY WELL:grin::grin::grin:

Be sure of good air flow if quite airtight. But with this strength of light… drop an inch… wait a day or 2… drop another inch…wait a day or 2… drop another inch and so on till you get ya bearings… get it into em
