Highgrows continous grow log

Absolutely no worries!

This is just a first for me. Have had the brindle 12 or 13 years now and was always told pits can get real bad skin and allergies but never had any issues with her.

Then i adopt this one and BAM! Outta nowhere. Seriously it came on so quick i didnt know what to do or where it came from. but it has gotten soooo much better. Just been a slow process like the vet said :smiling_face_with_tear:

That’s what I do with all buds I’ve keifed, pressed, or used for qwet. I do a long extraction and make various products for the dogs.
Have you tried changing her food @Highgrow? I’ve had dogs in the past that had similar reactions to food. Once I found the right food they were fine for the rest of their lives. I just got gifted a pit dog a couple moths ago and she has a bunch of digestive issues I haven’t been able to work out. She gets rashes on her belly too but they seem to be getting better recently.

Food allergies can do it as they get older.

Yes sir i have. That was one of the first few things i did. I know this may sound weird but i monitor my dogs poops. it tells A LOT of their gut health. Humans included

I did 3 changes in food with the 3rd being what she has been on for awhile now.

The first one she absolutely would refuse to eat. So i would add some pumkin as a topper. He poops would be runny.(she has had pumkin b4 without the runs)

The 2nd was better. She would eat it but started noticing her having trouble getting to actually poop. She would stand there for 15 mins or so tryna push it out.

Now she has solid poops :poop:

Thanks for coming to my :poop: talk :rofl::rofl::rofl:

Try a chew probiotic for the gut health. I see a noticeable difference in her when she goes without it for a few days.

I ordered one of thoes allergy tests off amazon… spent just over $100 and she came back to allergic to everything it tested for  sounds like i got ripped off tbh…

I needa get the vet to do one, they are just so damn expensive :weary:

It is on my todo list tho because it could also be an environmental thing. Both are still possible but wont know without all the blood work done

Hey I totally understand. I had my little pit pup fixed and chipped and she kept getting infections so yeah on top of the bill for that had to go to additional times for more meds :weary:

Yeah get the blood work and help the pup feel better.

All this talk of :poop: is making me hungry!

I hope your doggy gets well soon @Highgrow :place_of_worship::pray:

Sorry to hear that. Been through that with several dogs we had growing up unfortunately.

It’s not weird at all. I feel like that’s part of caring for you pets. You gotta deal with poo. pretty much the same issues with the new dog except she will eat anything.

Some of the girls over on Fairhaven avenue do the same thing. I think It’s called the conservative protein diet. All the kids are doing it
