As far as i can tell that seed got damping off from soil too wet. It has happened to me before. When they tip over like that it’s over.

Thanks for the input. That was my first adopted plant and she didnt handle the direct sunlight at such a young age very well

Idk if these bag seeds are gona make their mind on sex or not. Believe this is week 9 and still not matured.

Banner in the 1gal and 5gal pots are doing good. Finally fully sorted the ph issue out. Even tho the bigger girls ph still needs to rise a little were alteast finally above 6. And was able to give them a nice feeding.

Morning grow fam, hope everyones having a good week so far. Its almost friday 
So these bag seeds are starting to piss me off. Unless any of you can see something i dont, still no definite male or female. Decided to go ahead and put them in the 2x2 together and put on 12/12. Gona pay close attention the next couple days to see if they make up their mind.

Refresh my memory, how old are the ones your trying to sex? I’ve had stubborn ones in the past that took as long as ten weeks. the only drawback from flipping now is you might lose a little growth to the lower DLI at 12/12 while you wait for them to flip. If they aren’t ready yet they will just keep doing their thing until they are.

I posted their transplant aug 17 but they were 1.5weeks old then. So basically 10weeks going into 11? Unless i cant math 
Thry are just screwing my time table with wanting to flip my banner clones to 12/12

Well the fact that they haven’t shown yet leans the odds in the female direction, but is by no means a guarantee. Usually males will show quicker than females. I guess the best answer is be patient.

But I totally get it. Im hoping the 12/12 will help them make up their mind but if not ill just have to make due with what i got. I was honestly accounting for 1 of them to be male when i dropped 3 new seeds

I think I’ve pretty much decided I’m doing tissue tests for un-fem seeds from here on out. Pretty much for this exact reason. It looks like it’s pretty cheap these days.

These were my first 2 non fem guaranteed seeds. They both have recieved the same treatment but both have grown so differently amd the guessing game on which ima be able to keep and which one im not is killing me

Just find a lab and send them off. A lot of universities will do it for you too. It may not be worth it for your average home grower to do a lot of testing, but I do love good solid data to work from.

Might try it one day but id be worried i wouldnt get the same seed back
You take a hole punch from a leaf at 3+ weeks and send that to the lab.

It can also give you a heads up if your plant is carrying pathogens or diseases.

Good to know! Ima definitely look into that. If its not a bad price ill honestly probably end up doing it. It think itd be an interesting process

If I could grow outside where I am I’d be more apt to use bag seeds outside. I had three started and down to one I’m gonna try. In it’s own little tent. Just want one good bag seed grow and will chalk it off the list.

Changed a few things. The young seedlings went into my 2x2 and moved the bag seeds in with the banners. Their first day all on 12/12. Gotta get these cords back up top sometime today…hopefully

Got her tweaked out wide. Looks great and everyone looking content. I grabbed some tent staples as well awhile back. Haven’t used yet but soon I hope.
