Okay so my plant is almost 3 weeks old so I decided I was going to give it some light nutes today. So I added some grow big and checked my mixture and it showed 900 ppm so that was fine. However I gave it a good watering (in a 5 gallon pot) and my ppm that came out was 3,000! Should I be worried? Lol my plant looks healthy right now, but I hope it don’t start getting nute burn. Any suggestions on if I should flush or see what happens?
What soil are you using?
I know ffof can have high runoff numbers the first month.
Is your plant showing deficiencies, or did you just figure it was time to feed?
Yeah I’m using ffof. The plant looks fine right now, I just was looking around and seen some people start adding around 2-3 weeks so I thought I would give it a small dose.
If you’re hitting a ppm of 3000 and your plants aren’t showing deficiencies, I’d wait with the nutrients.
I can get an easy 4, sometimes 6 weeks with just water and ffof.
What intrigues me is that I frequently get high af runoff ppms with ffof, (2500-3000) but the established plants thrive. Zero issues until things start breaking down and the ppms drop below 2000…
Thanks for the info! Also at 3 weeks how far out would you water out from the stem in a bigger pot?
Pics will help
I think you should be watering farther away from the stem at this point, not just right around it. You want to train the roots to go get the water, not deliver it all right to them.
