So I’m running into an issue and am not sure if it’s on my end or not. Maybe you can help.
I’ve grabbed a lot of beans from IGLM over the years and an uncomfortable number have grown nanners, usually near the end of flower time, sometimes midway in.
I haven’t had this problem much in the past. I’ve checked for light leaks, messy timers, stress reactions and can’t pinpoint the reason.
Has anyone found this to be a problem in their seedstock?
I do see it. Haha. It’s like once you’ve seen one they get easy to spot. The one you show seems more complete of a male flower than the single nanners I usually get. Peace .

Self pollination program on hold for building bud inventory (smoke inventory low light lit).
After pollen sits out in open air or in light for so long it becomes unviable tho so if it has been a while since last grows I’d lean more on an issue causing the hermies. U don’t have any dehueys or any fans or anything with any kind of light on it at all or even the faintest glow from a 6way ect. Any light is a good possible suspect whether u think it is or not. I’ve seen a couple state they had a male plant pop up not female.but so far only bad I ever hear about ilgm seeds is everyone wishes they grew a little bigger or stronger other than most everyone is fairly happy with ilgm stuff. Hell ilgm gave me the best gorilla glue I’ve smoke so far. Lol. Super super nice strain there and it grew some.honker ass. Buds.
I did check for light pollution and covered a couple ballast LED switches and it’s very dark. Pollution is a good source for hermies tho for sure. Just not mine.
Interesting what you said about GG4. My 10 pack of GG4 beans from IGLM saw 3 not crack, 3 hermie in week 4 of flower and the chosen pheno of the remaining 4 is very potent but has popcorn buds.
I just started 10 London Pound Cake by IGLM. All 10 cracked, tailed, got stuck in dirt, popped out of dirt in <24 hours. Look strong and happy. I’ve no idea what to expect. Isn’t that half the fun, the pheno hunt? Something special would be fun to find.
Have a few phenos of my making from reg. beans, not converted femmed, and no hermies issues to speak of so far.
The more I think about it it’s probably got a lot to do with a too long flower and slightly tenant strains.
Here is one made by converting a Bubba Kush Pheno from Barney’s I called French Roast with a Hibernate pheno from I have no idea where anymore. I let a partner name it Unknown Soldier. Not reflective of lineage but kinda cool. It smells like raw steak, funky, strong on terps and potent. Still puts me to sleep like Hibernate which is good.
