Hi there , I have a 4x2 grow closet works great !! My issue is my girlfriend is a school teacher and the smell is causing a lot of friction between us . I have a new exhaust fan with carbon filter running through the ceiling into a vacant area under the floor upstairs . I have gels but since we live in a cottage it’s been hard to keep it completely smell proof . So I suppose my question would be, if I got a carbon air purifier off Amazon like a decent one and put that in my closet . Along with the other filters / fans would that work?

More likely a proper job of sealing your grow space, increasing negative air pressure and maintaining the carbon filter will gain you more.

Stay away from the cheap carbon filters buy a quality filter to control the odor. Also, is it possible to exhaust outside? It is a must to control negative pressure in grow Space too exhaust Odor. Welcome to the community !

Thanks , venting outside is a no go. I’m in a rental and don’t want to put a hole in the wall. I will try creating negative pressure and resealing everything

If you have a quality filter. And vent it outside you can stand beside it, and not smell it. Go out your dryer vent. You won’t have to cut a hole. Venting into attic space might also be a possibility. Just my thoughts. Good luck.

I like the idea of running a quality carbon filter sized properly and exhausting to attic. Roof should be vented to at least some extent, that is essentially venting to outside. That negative pressure is a must. If you setup like this everything would go to attic area.
