Help with identifying - Gold Leaf and Blue Dream

This is my first grow and since the beginning of the season I’ve wondered if I mislabeled the pots of my two plants, one Gold Leaf, and one Blue Dream, both from ILGM. I figured since Gold Leaf is an ILGM/Robert Bergman creation it would be easier to i.d. and/or get opinions here when they are into the flowering season, and here we are.

So, here are some pics from today. Opinions appreciated. (I definitely have my opinions set…)

Plant #2. It’s big and beautiful. About 7ft. tall from the ground.

I’m nearly ready to cut both of them down soon, so it would be nice to know which I’m dealing with for future. Both plants have endured caterpillars and Eurasian Hemp Borers and periods of freakish high humidity so there has been some loss to bud rot. I’ve cut much of that off, still have more to do.
We’ve had the most abnormal summer/fall weather here in MN with rain, heat, and high humidity. It’s been up and down lately, alternating between abnormally warm and seasonally average cool at times, but at least now it’s been very dry/no rain and the humidity has been very low as of late. So between that and cutting off rotten buds and removing the Hemp Borers here and there when I see them it has slowed down…

Gold leaf will have a sour smell. Blue dream ahould be more sweet berries smell. Ive grown both.:call_me_hand:

After further inspection, i think plant 1 is blue dream and plant 2 gold leaf. My guess. Both are good smoke.

I just cut down a blue dream. Smells like blueberry pie filling and pine cones

That’s exactly how I have them marked, and after much back and forth over the summer I’m sticking with that too. Looking here and elsewhere online I’ve seen phenos of both kinds that look so different. I was starting to lean toward the taller/bigger Gold Leaf being the Blue Dream due to it being more sativa. I’ve seen Gold Leaf plants that look very much like my Blue Dream with the bigger indica-looking leaves. But, the look and smell of the actual buds is what steered me back.

They both have a nice, sweet smell, but plant #1 / BD does have a sweeter smell to it. I wouldn’t say the Gold Leaf has a “sour” smell, but not quite as sweet as the other, and with a little more skunk to it.
