Help! My Cannabis Plant's Leaves Are Curling Up and Tips Are Drooping – What's Wrong?

I’m having an issue with one of my cannabis plants that’s not flowering yet. The leaves on the sides are curling up, and some of the other leaves’ tips are pointing down. I’m growing multiple plants in the same space, and this is the only one with the problem.

I had a similar issue with another plant that was flowering (this one isn’t), and back then I tried reducing the light exposure, but it didn’t help, and the plant ended up dying. I’m using Happy Tree Frog soil for all my plants.

Has anyone encountered this before? Could it be an issue with the soil or my watering routine? I’d appreciate any advice!

Didn’t realize this but’s the middle leaf curling up that is first to curl.

I think I know what might be happening. I add a pinch of salt to my water, I heard it was good, but what’s happening could be sign of early salt toxicity in the soil. If one of my other plants didn’t die, I would think it was fine too.

Welcome to the forum dude :metal:

You are in good hands here.

Probably sodium toxicity from the salt, you don’t need salt in growing weed. Salt toxicity is when the salts in your nutrient water build up in the soil and lock out nutrients and screw your ph.

Salt has been used in the past to make an enemy’s farmland unable to grow anything. Adding it to your water can’t be good.

Is it possible what you heard concerned Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate)?

Yes it has.

Here is a picture of my old plant that died. It’s the only pic i have of it. The leaves keep getting worse till it dies.

It kind of looks light related. But like I said I gave it less light and that didn’t save it. Less light intensity.

Looks wet. Can drown them easy in soil. I have done it. 1 day nice…next wilt. 3 days later dead. After pulli g and digging in the dirt I found a mudball around the roots. No oxygen. Didnt show till too late.

Asparagus grows in salt. Don’t know of anything else that does.
Especially weeds considering that is why you salt asparagus grounded is to kill weeds.

You should get a drip tray, like a water heater pan or a small kiddie pool. Your lovely hardwoods will thank you after a couple grow cycles.

I second skipping the sea salt. Any trace you get from that you probably got covered from your fertilizers all ready.
