Please help me identify what is wrong ![]()
Welcome to the forum.
I have edited your thread title as sharing of personal contact information is not permitted here in the forum.
The 1st issue I see is 2 plants in 1 pot. Roots from 2 plants will compete for nutrients and water. They will also become entangled.
Your other issues are going to be nutrient and lighting related. What soil are you using and are you monitoring pH and PPM? What nutrient product(s) are you using? Temps and humidity? What are you using for lighting?
I suggest starting here:
Thank you for your help, my lights are almost all Walmart LEDs with a few frosted 72 watt halogen bulbs for more white light , my soil is mostly miracle grow potting soil, the pots are huge so I hoped they could grow two , all the others with two seem ok, read something about it reveging maybe
tried to cover up for 24 hrs to shock it back , so far no good results.
Miracle Grow is a challenge for cannabis. It contains time release nutrients that submarine your pH and nuke your plant with nitrogen every time you water. MG is why you are seeing the plant’s leaf edges burned. Good soils for cannabis include Fox Farm soils, Roots Organics, Black Magic, and Coast of Maine. These soils are all properly pH buffered for cannabis.
You won’t be able to find lighting adequate for cannabis at Walmart. Cannabis is extremely light hungry. The only plants that need as much light as cannabis are palm trees, olive trees, and some species of cacti. Recommend 200 watts of quality lighting (that from Samsung LM301 series diodes) per plant as a minimum.
To mid west guy , thank you for the advice, I found 1000 watt LM301b at eBay 51$ is that good? I don’t use a tent my grow room is about 7 x 12 if that helps
The white edges on the leaves looks like a combination of potassium deficiency + over-watering.
To Caligurl , thank you for your advice, the tub is kind of heavy, so I will lay off watering a week maybe, what is a good affordable source for potassium?
? again thank you
@Elmer 1000watt is misleading more than likely the true power is around 100 to 150 true watts which will be ok for about one plant
Thank you sir ![]()
The lighting topic is so complicated. How does a person know if a manufacturer is misleading on their true watt? And how do you know (or find out) the true watts.
The difference you mentioned in your response is significant.
I’m jump in here if y’all don’t mind… lights are a huge part basically the main part honestly I found out the hard way. Does that mean you can’t do it no not at all just makes it harder I know first hand I have had very cheap choice of lights but I have managed to make it work you just have to stay on top of everything single plants per pot an chart everything keeping up with your every move with them has been my biggest friend… You can still do it with cheap lights just got try hard everything the exact same but different turn outs.
You just have to read the manufacturers specs when you purchase a light you want to make sure your light covers your tent size for flower coverage. I have a 32x32x60 tent i run a spider farm se 4000w which is 400 watts and can veg a 4x4 and flower 3x3 tent i grow i can grow 3 plants at one time but usually grow one or two autos with no problems also every season grow 3 photos outside
Thank you for the advice, beautiful pictures
hope mine come out close , I have grown two crops with these lights, they link together and I have 24 plus some
bulbs for white light. Thinking
of adding more bulbs. Need to make buds get more dense.
Ph is the most important factor in many deficiencies, A cheap way to add potassium is a banana water tea. But always make sure your ph is ok first… I recommend a soil slurry test first to check the ph of the soil.
How To Make Banana Peel Tea
Let the water sit for at least 24 hours to clean it,
Cut the banana peels into pieces,
Put the pieces in a jar filling about 5 centimeters,
Finish filling up to 3/4 of the total content with water,
Cover it with a rag,
Let it rest in the fridge for 3-5 days,
Stir it a couple of times a day,
