Help just found bud rot!

Yup didn’t think it would happen in a tent but there it is. Had to cut out a few spots. She has probably another week or so to go. My gut is telling me to cut her down but the trichomes are saying wait a little longer. What should I do? @North_East_Newbie @Countryboyjvd1971 @Willd @bob31

Amp up the ventilation and lower the humidity if possible and watch closely. Any more signs I would yank her down immediately! @Smokin_ernie

wow this is crazy isn’t it!

Got the dehumidifier set at 50% maybe drop it a little. Unfortunately lights are out I should have turned fans up earlier but was distracted by the rot.

I would do it anyway. This close to harvest isn’t going to hurt anything with the lights being on for 5 minutes! Saving them is more important. I’d drop the de-humid down a notch too!

Will do @bob31! Just going to finish dinner! Haha

Keep a close eye on them
I agree with Bob about ventilation.
Hopefully these warm days will stay dry.
I was optmstic about fighting off rot and it didn’t pan out. I would give it only a day or two and see if any new rot comes back. If it does, chop it down.

Thanks guys going out now to turn up fans

I’m so sorry. From what I understand (& trying to learn), high humidity and lack of air flow causes this whether outdoor or indoor. I hope you have nipped it in the bud-no pun intended- and can get to the proper harvest time. Fingers crossed :crossed_fingers:

I don’t think I will be waiting to long to cut down. I hoping it will be fine until I can get to it after work.

Sometimes you gotta cut your losses. I would do a serious bud wash before drying though… @Smokin_ernie.

Man! That sucks! I just did the chop myself.

Is the dehumidifier inside or outside tent @Smokin_ernie
What is humidity in tent ?
I would definitely turn Air up and maybe add another circulation fan in tent I keep min two in mine plus exhaust and intakes
And have never experienced bud rot indoors

The bud rot scares me…at night my grow area gets up to 60% humidity. Even though mine are autos, I think they need there sleep, but every time I read a post like yours I think about leaving them in 24 hour light…
Good luck;fingers crossed.

@Tr33 don’t give them 24 he light imo it’s a waste all plants need there rest even Autos
Just make sure you have good air flow above and below canopy and you should be fine
Most bud rot indoors is caused by lack of air flow
