I live in central Florida.growing outdoor s.Temperature each day in the mid/high 90s. Thunderstorms most afternoons.planted 10 white widow auto. Lost all but 2.any advice about this area?
Welcome to the forum! I’m not sure of a lot of outdoor growers in that area. If he’s around, @Budbrother may be able to help you out some.
One thing you can do is look into landrace strains that suit your climate. Strains like Durban poison, power plant, super silver haze, strawberry cough…etc. These strains are mold resistant and have adapted to wetter climates.
Bobby, thanks for replying.I am a 80 yr old man,and this is my 1st grow.I am a snow bird who lives in fl.during the summer (I only leave during hurricane season)I have just ordered “jack Herer” to try during the winter, when the temperature is down to the 60s.any advice will be appreciated.

Good thing you went with autos outdoors here. That will be your saving grace. With photos I lost about 60% to bud rot.
With the rainy season here, you have to get those autos out early. They have to be harvested before the July-Sept rains/hurricane season. Check breeder info and add 3 wks to be safe.
Here’s what I do, but do whatever works out best for you. I drop autos mid September. Yeah, still humid and rainy out, but they’ll be loving it in veg. Plus, I want a Xmas harvest lol. I continue dropping autos every 3 weeks for a Jan harvest.
The November temps start cooling slightly at night but still 85-90° days out. The temps and humidity usually hit that sweet spot for growing. So depending on how the season appears to be trending, I may drop more.
If it was a cold (to us) winter, I usually have a crop going by March. Growing winters and early spring here is key. Drop them frequently and staggered by several weeks. Just make sure to plan out your harvests to avoid the rainy season.
Hello @Papadawg and welcome to ILGM! The welcome wagon has u covered. Just saying hi. Also seedlings are super sensitive and i have trouble starting them outdoors. Maybe try the first 10 days inside under a house bulb. Just to get them standing and a solid start
Could u remove ur personal email please? Privacy and safety reasons of course thanks and good luck with ur grows!
Please don’t post any of your contact information.
Thank you brother. I need all the help I can get.
Then slowly introduce them to the sun. You want them completely shaded at first. Once you harden them off a bit and no longer seedlings, I recommend a spot getting morning till mid day sun and then shaded from then on @Papadawg
