From what I’ve learned with autos. Get them early, and hit them hard. My Widows will veg for about 35 days, and stretch for another 3-4 weeks. I’ve got 30+ Colas on my last one.
Dang that’s a lot of potential bud-ation
Important equipment for correct PH applicating. Good tires on Bugatti required.
@DEEPDIVERDAVE lol I actually had one in my cart a couple days ago…but thot that grow bags and 1/4" wicking cotton and some usb fans (need to make a drying box for inside the tent) were more urgently needed! But the extra $150 right now made me delete it!
I’m old, never used a meter when we did it 30+ years ago, and I think my water is good as I have never had any issues with my grows, neither have my buddies in the same area. And Advanced Nutrient line self corrects the pH.
So…my Bugatti Veyron HAS great tires, and by looking at them and the way it handles, I think the air pressure is correct!
Im a meter head myself. The right tool for the right job right…?
And the thing alot of people miss is back in the day it was set it and forget it, but thats because of the great outdoors. Mother nature is the great equalizer. She doesnt have a need for petty pH or hand holding finicky strains. They either were strong stable genetics or they died lol.
Indoors is a whole diff beast. Especially now with the insanely intense lighting… you have to feed more strenuously. And the slow… destabilization of the plant… all the poly hybrids and pollen chuckers. We are making thc stronger but at what cost?…
puts away soapbox
But I completely understand making budget related decisions. Especially with this expensive hobby of ours. If u buy everything you need on a whim, then more then likely u could afford the dispensary prices anyway lol.
Also, nice tires! Haha
Late 80’s was with 1000w MH bulb in a 6’x6.5’ room in a basement suite. Then also got a 400w HPS bulb for a closet. Buckets or ProMix and hand watered. Got 32 plants in there once, still probably have the burn scars on my back from feeding the ones in the back row!
Oh, I can get dispensary weed delivered for $80/ounce here. Seen pounds go for $600, dispensary quality buds. Legalization hasn’t gotten rid of the black market, just made all the prices drop!
Haha thats a good deal then! I was worried the opposite would happen. Prices just keep going up . I know the overall quality has gotten better (black market wise)
I live near Vancouver, BC, home of the ORIGINAL BC BUD! Back then, people would smuggle it to the US and trade pound for pound with blow, bring that back and make a fortune! One of my grow buddies was a mule 20 years ago, made a killing at it!
Always had good homegrown here, never paid more than $200/oz (altho 1/4’s would sell for $70). But the last couple of years, unless you get it from the Government store (which sells over-dried old bud), it’s pretty cheap!
Question using Advance Nutrients. I also want to use other nutrients like Cal -Mag from time to time and probably others later on. Question is though do I add AN part A and Part B then Cal-Mag or Cal-Mag first then AN?
@Tdevine I think you’ve seen my feeding schedule posted somewhere? I use the AN 3 part Jungle Juice Micro-Grow-Bloom. And B-52. Once in a while I will add in some of their Sensi-Cal to the mix, after stirring the first 4 in. Same water that has been sitting for a day or so to dechlorinate.
I’ll mix that up in my 5 gallon bucket (about 16 litres full right now so I can go thru it in time). Because I have a flowering auto right now, I’ll pour 4 litres into an icecream pail and add the AN Bud Candy and Big Bud to that for her. Once I flip my photos I can then just use one feed for all.
When I transplant, I will also feed them some VooDoo Juice for a week or two. All in the same bucket stirred together.
@Spudgunner Thanks so much! So does it matter in what order I mix them? Like Sensi Grow Part A (1st) Sensi Grow Part B (2nd) Cal-Mag (3rd) B-52 (4th)
Also update! Won’t be using any nutes for a few weeks for sure! I watered them just a little bit ago with straight distilled water and tested the run off numbers. pH was 6.5 and ppm was 2425! That’s really really high right?!!
The SensiGrow line, not sure, but probs A then B. The Jungle Juice I’m using, yeah, they say it matters. I marked their jugs “1” (Grow), “2” (Micro), “3” (Bloom) and “4” for the Sensi-Cal. That’s the order they recommend to mix into your water (never mix together and then to water! Add one and stir, next, next, then next, stirring after each!). The other stuff gets added after the “base”.
The runnoff numbers look high, but your girls aren’t suffering! I water with the mix maybe twice, then dilute what’s left in the bucket with more water for another couple of waterings. Just me tho, and this strange old fart does a lot of things that aren’t in peoples’ grow bibles!
Oh, I’ve since purchased more of their products but never labelled then 5, 6, 7, or 8! The order they get added in doesn’t matter, as long as it’s after the first 3! Wouldn’t have labelled “4” either if I knew was going to buy “treats” for them!
Awesome! Yeah I didn’t feed them any. Last watering few days ago ppm run off was 750. Today all I did was add about 3-4 inches of fresh Fox Farm Soil (the soil level was low), after I topped with fresh soil I just watered with distilled water and new numbers are 2425! Crazy! I hope they are ok in the morning!
Fox Farm soil is charged…that might be where your high numbers are coming from.
Which is why I like ProMix…it’s neutral. It retains water well. You don’t get salt build-ups. With the AN products that pH to a good number, I don’t chase numbers or my tail! The Ultimate Deity in my grow bible is a fat lazy bastard who lets his ladies do their thing, not out to create any superstrains. The plant’s sole purpose in life is to bud and reproduce (which we don’t allow!).
I think growing is like a highway, we all get there in the end. But if you go 200mph and hit a pothole, you’re in for trouble real quick. Hit it at 70, bit of bump but you can recover easier, altho you may see it before you hit it and take corrective actions. Follow? Not the best analogy as I love driving fast!
Lol! I’m a fast driver too but definitely get the analogy. I absolutely love the Advance Nutrients just because I don’t have to worry about the ph levels! Works like a charm everytime (knock on wood ) Guess all I can do is hope my plants don’t burn from those high numbers. I’ll make sure to keep an eye on them. Only thing I can think of is if they seem to be “burning” I’ll do a small flush to try and lower the ppm. But hopefully they will take it like a champ
@The_Chef @BigItch @OGIncognito @Flitme @Fieldofdreams @SilvaBack203 @PurpNGold74 @MidwestGuy @AlienBrew
Hey guys. Posted a possible problem earlier but haven’t heard anything back. Guess it definitely is better to use tags. Gotta gets y’all’s attention!
Hopefully I’ll be fine? Guess I’ll see in the morning or day or 2. But any suggestions are appreciated! Last time I watered them few days ago ppm run off was 750. Ok cool right? Well today all I did was add a top layer of fresh Happy Frog Soil (soil level had dropped 3-4 inches). After topping with fresh soil I watered with distilled water only! Ppm run off was 2425! Wth! Think they will burn up? Let them ride it out or do a small flush to lower ppm numbers. It’s been about 10 hours ago and so far it still looks good! Just nervous! Thanks
What state?
Right! Here in Virginia at the dispensary it is $65.00 for 3.5 grams!
