On a more serious note, I’ll be curious to see if the mothership has the first HLVD resistant strains. Because then it would be pretty obvious where this came from.

Assuming this is actually a thing, I wonder how it is spread? Is it carried in the seed or do plants get infected? If it is the latter, then:

I read in another article that a mother plant was unknowingly carrying the virus and EVERY clone produced from her was infected. Thousands of clones went wholesale and hundreds + went retail to every corner of CA and all over the west coast…

In late 90s 97, austin had indoor grow issues similar. Somehow, it came to pass with the added practice of making cloning as sterile as possible. Mother plants was the cause.
I watched numerous times how meticulous a friend was when he cloned. I thought then, potheads are very anal about their trade, lol he replied i was about my fishing too. Lol
Hopefully this is a cleaning issue that a little more attention to detail can fix.
We have seen members sharing clones, and have mild dew and other issues evolve from.

That’s messed up, and hope none of our community members are impacted. This certainly will increase the value of seeds, and indoor growing.

There’s still a chance that it can be transmitted through seed too.
Less than 10 % but still significant.
Especially if you factor in the snowball effect when a breeder unknowingly ( or knowingly ) offers an infected run to the public.
Only available solution for it at this time is slash and burn and start over with new.

Oh ya. Scotts has been after all of the major players in cannabis game for years, but for every one they buy two more pop up. I just realized a couple weeks ago they botched deal with GH and left European branch out of purchase with rights alll recipes. They just had to change name and label. Companies like hlg already have the homegrow game and will slowly start taking over commercial applications as more go up and older facilities get renovated. Nothing pleases me more than seeing the Bayer/Monsanto clan whiff. Unfortunately they have too much money to just go away.
This reeks of covid for cannabis.

This made me snort coffee.
Many years ago I used to grow a few variety of hops when the virus was wiping out the big grows in the northeast and I couldn’t get product to make home brew.
Had some local breweries and brew shops after my starts so they could grow their own. Got a lot of free Tshirts in return!

Nova makes $65.00 per test. Takes a leaf from top bottom and middle to test. Small plants require only 2 leaves for testing.
Who owns Nova? Only company that has testing that i have found so far. This issue is east coast issue as well.
Mentions nothing on being passed through seeds from Nova. Clones and utensils are mentioned for the passing of the virus.
