What’s good family, I need help diagnosing my plant issue. I’ve been watering at ph 6.5 once in a while I water at 6.3 and the ppm is 600 my plant leaves are showing yellowing on the new growth and on older leaves
It would be helpful to post a pic or 2 of the full plant.
It is normal for new growth to be a lighter shade of green. Chlorophyll will catch up and make them a darker green as the leaves mature.
Blemishes on older growth are a normal part of the plant maturing, particularly among the lower leaves.
The 2 plants on the right are showing the yellowing on the top growth and on a couple of the older leaves but overall the rest of the plant looks good so you think it might not be a mag deficiency??
@MidwestGuy i appreciate you brother,
Your plants look just fine.
I agree, overall they look perfectly fine. If you have a minute, get a closer pic of the area I circled. Looks like possibly the beginning of a magnesium deficiency, but I wouldn’t attempt any corrective action unless it progresses. And it might not even be the case, my eyes ain’t what they used to be, lol, that’s why I asked for a closer pic.
@Cap_Ron the plants are sleeping, at 5pm eastern time I will take a couple close pics and I will post on here I was thinking of the mag deficiency but I will be able to tell for sure when I turn the light back on to see if it can be what @MidwestGuy said about the chlorophyll making it’s way to the leaves because of it being new growth I’m stuck in between mag deficiency and it just being that it’s new growth
Can it be magnesium deficiency??
I’m not completely sure, but I wouldn’t take any action yet anyway. Looks like you’ve been doing great so far. Just keep an eye on those spots and make sure it’s not progressing further.
They have definitely gotten more yellow than before I cut the lights off, I realized something when I noticed only the tips looking kinda slightly burnt and as the days go by I noticed the yellowing of the leaves now I’ve only been giving 5ml of cal mag from the moment I was able to start giving my plant food
How can I get a picture on this forum
Why are the leaves on this plant turning this way a lot of the leaves are dying and drying up please advise
What kind of soil are they in? Do you know the pH of the water you’re giving them?
@aquin50 If you start a thread under troubleshooting saying you’re looking for help, someone will post a support ticket for you to fill out. Once you answer the questions you’ll get plenty of help.
6.5 ph organic soil they were doing great and healthy and now this
Okay would like that
I have the plants in fox farm ocean forest, I’ve been ph ing to 6.5 at all time once in a while 6.3
@Cap_Ron also I check the ppm with the Bluelab truncheon and it be 500 to 600 the only thing I haven’t done is check the ph on the run off. I have the plant in 3 gallon fabric pots. I’m not watering them until run off, I give them about half gallon each when I feed.
