Some pics to evaluate. Day 80 in FFOF. Yellowing leaves and some tips that look crisp. The flowers look good though and the smell great. Neut as per the FF recommendation chart and today I added some cal-mag. Gelatos autos. The last grow I harvested at 92 days so these girls should be harvest ready in a couple of weeks. Lot of tricombs but all clear no amber yet.
Looks like sheâs used all the potassium youâve been giving her so she started taking some from old leaves. A potassium deficiency in other words. You could up the potassium in your nutrient solution and it should stop this from spreading. I wouldnât do anything too drastic with two or three weeks til harvest.
Whatâs the best way to up the potassium?
Use a little more from the bloom bottle. Iâd probably start with 0.2ml more per gallon. Plants often cannibalize old leaves late into the grow so itâs normal. But itâs preventable too. Only time I like seeing colors is if Iâm doing a final flush.
Iâve got Tiger Bloom and Big Bloom. Which would you use?
Iâd probably go with big bloom. It has more K than P. Plus it wonât add more nitrogen to your solution.
Tiger Bloom contains P and K. Big Bloom only contains micronutrients wish as copper, boron, and iron.
Good to know. I just looked at the NPK. 0-0.5-0.7. Thought it was kinda low. Shouldâve read the description. Strange nutrient. With the name I thought it was a bloom booster. Lol.
Whatâs with these girls? Yellowing leaves all over. They are Gelato autos. Getting close to harvest but not quite there yet. Last two waterings they got water only. Before that it was as per FF recommendation. Day 94 in dirt. Last grow I harvested at 91 days. Thoughts?
Back left looks like sheâs gonna need to go longer than the others.
The look you are seeing is the plantâs natural response to pull resources from its leafs to keep its flowers alive.
Itâs up to you if you want to check runoff and continue feeding and maybe bump it up some or just let her finish out.
Iâm sure you just cleaned up those leaves off the plants but I gotta mention, donât leave old leaf material in the tent or anywhere near, it can cause mold, pest and a list of things you donât want this late in the game, I want to see all your hard work go up in smoke
Agree with first reply. You can see theyâre pulling potassium out of the old leaves to finish up flowering. You could feed again and slow down the yellowing though some of it happens near the end of the plants life cycle anyway. I donât do a final flush at all, so it wouldnât hurt the end product. Totally optional at this point though. They should finish just fine so donât do anything drastic. All my autos have taken a little over 100 days to finish.
Edit: Iâd probably feed the one still throwing pistils. The others should keep fading just fine right to the finish.
