Those little pack are intend to sucks humidity when it’s above the % and give it back when it’s under %. It have a life expectansy of about 8 months.
Yup, right. Certainly wasn’t disputing that. The question he was leave them in or take them out.
Personnaly, I leave it there. For my peace of mind, don’t have to worry about humidity problems
I put a 62% in some stuff that was a little over dried and had been stored about six months in the jar and it brought it back really nicely in about a week!
I also vacuumed seal it, so I think you can pretty much go either way with leaving them in, if you have them leave them in I guess, they seem to work great so far
I’m very happy with the 62% but I’ve heard good things about 58% too, but I didn’t see them for sale
Okay guys I thought I had found a new gadget in those jars but they are not worth what they cost the vacuum seal only remains a couple of hours then it is just a jar
So what I intend on using is this . It is airtight holds a lot an is easy to store and stash in my pantry my question is how many bovida 62% packs will it take got about 4 ounces and 3 packs for curing is that to many or is there such a thing ?Bummer man! They looked good.
@Oldstoner for the size, you only need 1 pack per jar, however you can put as many as you like, it’s not gone a make any difference, except for the time it took to reach specify RH and maybe longevity of the pack.
Personnaly, i’m using Tight Vac, they offering it in different sizes and amazon.com are selling them. I don’t know if possible to have it on regular store in your area, but it’s worth to try to found those. Is the link:
Hoping that is gone a be helpful:wink:
I use Mason Jars and a Food Saver type vacuum arangement. I have tried the bags. I wont try them again. I also throw in a pack of Boveda. I gave them (Boveda) a call a few months ago to be sure it would work under vacuum. Their response was “It works very well and can handle the vacuum without issue”. They were right. It works great for a long time. I follow 7-7-7 on the cure and then into the vacuum with Boveda. The packs swell but thats it. In a month after the first 7-7-7, it is very nicely cured.
I have the below items. A regular cheep vacuum pump and the food saver adapters. It works very well and, has for years.
I was at a house that got raided, they open a oatmeal contained and pulled out a12 inch bud… I guess what I’m saying is don’t put to much trust in household items… They sell a secret stash Arizona tea can on amazon…
Not so much worried about a raid no one but me and the wife know that it is even there I’m actually good with a old coffee can as long as it works good . The easy to stash thing just comes from not smoking for a long time and just not liking anything laying around the house that is obvious.
what I would find interesting…if there was a search done on where I lived almost 50 years ago, when I was 16-18.
I was always hiding things in really good spots, some I never found after using.
my mom found the obvious weed in clothes or the just stupidly left out stuff.
May try this and then be able to use my BIG Mason Jars and not worry about cords and bags etc and undersized containers.
Will give feedback once used.
Less than $40USD

The home site is Italian this as a option, cant see it on Amazon.
what type of plant gave you all this and how many of them did you have?? that is an awesome harvest.!
This was my grow from summer 2015. Had 8 plants yield about 33 oz. 1 Super Silver Haze, 1 Royal Madre and the rest were from saved seeds from over the years. This year I had 7 plants yield 39 oz.
@Soilgrowth, I believe I have an understanding of this method, could you please correct me if I’m wrong.
- Dry the buds till the smaller stems are snapping.
- Fill jar about 70% of the way and put the lid on
- Vacuum seal the jar and for 7 days burp them once a day for 10 to 20 minutes then vacuum seal the jars back up then call is good?
- To store long term, place a 62% bodeva in the jars and just check on them periodically and replace pack as needed?
I know you’re not asking me and it might be implied, but the jars need to be re-vacuumed after each burp period. I think you know but just in case.
Damn, I forgot to add that after they are burped I will vacuum seal them again till the next day. I’m just high an forgot
Those are absolutely beautiful. Love all of those colors. I’m almost out for now till my other stuff gets here, which I don’t know when that will be yet, it’s not done growin yet lmao.
dang @Soilgrowth those are some sweet looking buds!
