Has anyone used a food saver to cure?

I screwed up one jar but it still smokes you definitely want to make sure you don’t smash

Awesome I believe this will be the way that I will be going as of curing my buds. Thanks for the insight and valuable info on this. I was wondering if something like this was possible an now I know that it is. Thanks for this info.

So if I use a mason jar pull al the air out seal leave it for 7 days and Wala ready to go ?

Don’t just leave it for 7 days. You still have to burp it once everyday for the 7 days. For like 10-20 min then re vacuum seal the jar/bag. Do this once a day for the 7 days and call it done.

has anyone ever tried these ? They come with a little hand pump to suck the air out and form a vacuum. Hoping this works good but if not mason jars are on the way

How much is a set-up like that?

@Matthew420 I got the set on Amazon for 29.00 dollars. The pump feels a little wobbly when you vacuum seal it but if you line it up right it actually gets quit a good vacuum in the jar . When I pressed the button after leaving it sealed all night you could hear the air sucking back in a bunch so it seems to be good and airtight so if nothing else I got nice little storage jars for long-term storage.

I like it! Might look into it. Looking at the Mealsaver too but it looks like they stopped making them.

jars look tiny…how much weed you getting in them?

@Oak between all five with the buds put in loosely I would guess close to 5 ounces

@Matthew420 they still have them on amazon they are food savers not meal savers you probably got a bunch of Tupperware type stuff . Search for food saver

I kinda liked the little counter top MealSaver. I’ll get the bigger one if I have to. I’m thinking mason jars for now since they’re readily available and I know my crop is going to be like 100lbs from 6 plants :fearful:

I think there are a bunch on eBay for around @20 or so.

Nice I looked at those but will never have over a pound probably only keep like a half in reserve to get through the next grow and then space them out more only growing the two plants this time.

Yeah, I just want enough to sustain not needing to buy it. No interest in selling. Probably give my friends some if I have extra.

So when do you put it in the jars? After it has dried a bit?

@DineyB After it is dry there will still be some moisture in the middle of the bud but you want your branch almost snap some people want it drier than others are usually do it when the small twigs snap in the bigger ones break but our rubbery still But you want to make sure it’s fairly dry because you will have mold issues in the jar but you’ll want to burp it and dump it all out for 10 or 15 minutes back in jar and then suck the air back out hope that helps
