Question for someone experienced. I grew 8 white widow from ilgm. This is only my second grow but the buds seem like popcorny. Only way i know how to describe it. There are no bananas anywhere and the other 2 strains i harvested 2 weeks ago had no problems. Do these look normal? Will it be right after trimming?

Airy buds are mainly associated with insufficient lighting. Lower hanging fruit that doesn’t get the lighting intensity that the uppers do will naturally be less dense and developed. They make great oils and edibles though

Yeah im following you on the lower growth. But the 2 big buds you are looking at are the top colas. Grown under hlg scorpion diablos. Its jlgot me baffled. The only strains ive had do this are from ilgm. No seeds from seedman have done this. Im leaning towards its the seeds. But as i said im a newbie so its an uneducated opinion really

Like the others have said. My last harvest I had 2 Jack Herer auto’s that where airy the smoke and buzz was ok. I’m using them to make edibles.

So from researching last night what i believe im seeing thats not looking normal to me is swollen calyxs. I did 2 things unknowingly that wouldve caused them. I didnt water the last 3 days and shut the lights down the last 24 hours. Both of which to my understanding would cause them. 2 plants were worse than others but alot of people in forums are saying you want them swollen because it makes the buds bigger and weigh more. Thoughts??? Also, do you guys do a bud wash? Since im totally indoors ive been doing just a peroxide bath, then fresh water. Do i need to be doing that even? What do you guys think, or do yourself?
It is what it is. All weed isn’t going to look the same. That right there is genetics. My last WW had the same looking buds

I would (and will/or did). A peroxide bath should help fight off mold and wash undesiered travelers…

Id say foxtailing/genetics irregular grouth of the bud had some last grow gsc ilgm. Also a jake harer ilgm that had super bad genetic issues pistols abd suger leaves 100 days in flower and never produced.

There aint no bull about it. This is my 2nd grow and ive grown 5 strains. These buds look different than everything else and i didnt know why so i was asking some experienced people if they knew why. I like being able to post on here and have got alot of good advice and response to my posts. Fyi i disected one of the buds and there are no seeds, like i said turns oit its just swollen calyxs. Dont get your butt hurt that a newbie is growing good buds and move on somewhere else if you want to be negative and dont want to help
