Harvest Suggestions needed... Help out a first-time grower, Fam! 💚

Hey Grow Fam!

Looks like I’m super close to my very first harvest! But I could really use your advice—should I wait a little longer, or is now the perfect time to go for it? I’ve attached some pics (sorry they’re not the best, it’s tricky keeping my microscope steady). Let me know what you think!

Thanks and happy growing! :seedling:

Beautiful flowers! Depends on what you want. I think you could push them a couple more weeks. You have some clear trichs still, and the brown pistles haven’t drawn in quite yet.

Its an autoflower so I m bit surprised why its taking more than 10 weeks … but happy to wait…
Maybe I will chop one flower and see how it… :yum:

Don’t bank on the 7-10 weeks as advertised. It could be less or more; the latter is more often if you are up to it. You are already ahead with that. Win/win for you. Nice grow man.

Enjoy! This forum has a Bud of the month contest. Big fun to watch!. If you haven’t seen it< take a look at some of the Autos entered in BOM.

I clip samples from a number of flowers and take them inside to photograph. That way you can get steady, focused pictures. Samples are tiny.

Your plant is close but I’d give it some more time. You also show some N tox which might lead you to start running just water until harvest.

Look purty green . Finished out well. Man they are in the window right now to my eyes. Can start to ripen where you like but not take a huge hit to thc if come down in a week. I still add the pistils browning and receding to my determination along with trich color. You are brown. Just my thoughts

Nice flowers, I’m with everyone else. I would wait a little longer. Like @Myfriendis410 said. Way easier to cut tiny pieces off and view them. Congratulations on nearing your harvest :v::blush:

How would you take the sample? Would you cut an entire flower or just parts of it? Would not it damage the flower if I cut parts of it?

You need a tiny amount like smaller than a pencil eraser. Just make sure it’s calyx and not sugar leaf you are sampling.
