Trichomes should be cloudy and some amber on the buds not sugar leaves. When they become cloudy your in the harvest window. Some do 10-15% amber, some 50/50 depends on if you want a more energy feeling or couch lock which comes with more amber. This is what I use, they cost around $25 and work very well.
