It really is a great tool when I am figuring out if it is harvest time. Like others have said, a stand is a must. They are pretty sensitive to movement. Now, if just looking to check out how the trichs are coming along it is not near as big of an issue as trying to take a good photo. Use your phone or ipad for the photo taking as pressing the button on it will shake it. I got pretty creative with stacking things to set it on to take peeks at the girls secrets. 
I think I paid around $40 for it on Amazon by the time I paid taxes.
Iāve been checking these things out seems like it would work just have to find one to hold a microscope. I canāt remember who but a guy on here made one out of what looks like a cymbal stand, and another person had bought something similar

Ok so been a week for flushing plant 1 and this is what it looks like now. I pointed the scope best i could to the most visable bud. Looks amber. Think im good to cut now?

If those are top ones that have that many amber I would keep them separate and mark them because the lower stuff wonāt have as many and you will have some daytime smoke and bedtime smoke. alot of amber gives you couch lock. Look good 4sure congratulations

A couple of the bottom seem to have a bit more than the top cola (the one in the pic) but they all have at least the amount of amber you see in the pic. Thanks man itās exciting to finally see i can cut these

Thanks man. Wet trimming this lady now and definitely taking my time lol. Cant imagine how long this will take me when multiple ones are ready but im enjoying this next step. Cant wait for them to dry already and put them in jars. At least this is the fun part of being patient haha

When I have a big harvest I spread it over a few days. Donāt cut it all at once, I did that and was demented trying to get it all done
