I believe the direction of the length helps optimize greenhouses, but Idk anything!

No but you are gonna want direct sun for at least half the day then ambient light will be ok
Also keep into consideration your climate
If it is 70f outside you can bet the inside of your greenhouse is gonna 100-120f
