I have learned a lot from my mistakes so I am giving one more shot at Red Congolese Auto flowers.
Soil I am planning on using is Fox Farm Happy Frog with some Perlite added in.
For nutrients I am using Fox Farm Cultivation Nation Veg and Bloom 2 part system and for my lighting i have a small area to work with so currently i have one of these lights. I can get another if needed.
I really wanna get one of these to cross the finish line. What advice can you give me to make that come to reality?
Do you have another light and this is just something you are thinking about adding? That light won’t flower cannabis. Need about 150-200w per plant with preferrably the Samsung 301 diodes. You can also use the 32-40w per sq. ft. of space if you grow more than 1 plant.
Agree. You’re not going to be able to find a light capable of flowering cannabis at Home Depot. Buying an extra bulb (or even 4 of them) isn’t going to help. No single bulb light is going to be effective.
Unfortunately Fecida lights are worthless too. I’d look for a used HLG, Mars Hydro, or Spider Farmer on eBay.
You can get a good light for the cost of a zip of weed off the street or from a dispensary. Make an investment and you’ll have perpetual weed for the cost of a good grow environment.
Yeah, even though it says 600w, it is actually only 65 true watts. Not enough. We are just letting you know what can be used and what you have if used will not make you happy with the end result.
I started with a light my son gave me who is an electrician and he said it was a really good light. It was not. A 60w Briignite. I switched to the TS1000 from Mars which is a 150w light and then ended up buying a second one for larger denser buds and that really wasn’t enough either so I made the final switch to the HLG 350R with the HLG UVA. Now my plants are happy.
I looked at it like this. I was spending 200 to 300 a month on cannabis from either my guy or the dispensary or both. It paid for itself my first grow (I only grow for myself) Plus I don’t even notice it on my electric bill.
It is the best choice of what you have brought to the table thus far but still only 100w draw. It does have the good diodes and a dimmer. It would bring 1 plant to flower in a 2x2 but your plant would want more light. I would prolly keep it at 12-16" above the canopy.
If you can swing that, I would buy 1 of those. I can attest on a budget it is a good light for 1 plant. Here is a Godfather OG I grew under that light.
