Growing with a blackmoon rising

Black Sugar is a great strain name, I find it really intriguing lol. Hope it’s as awesome as it sounds!! Is the Ultimate from our friend on the other site? I have a few of them or a cross I’ll have to double check the description later lol, from him. He spoke very very positive about his experience with that strain. I can’t wait to work them into my rotation.

Are you back to feeling good again? Hate to hear you were under the weather.

Effort man. I’m lazy bout it. I chopstick a hole and drop it in. Slide soil into hole and mist water to fill in gaps.

Hi there @Fieldofdreams
Yep from our mate from the other side skyfishbud
The first 2 popped but for what ever reason life wasnt for them
So i was almost gunna give up this season on it as its not like im short of fem photos already growing well.
Well maybe a bit leggy and ready to go outside
If summer ever arrives here
But i decided i really want that strain so i dropped this 3rd one
When im gifted seeds i want to honour that person and represent there strains as best i can
Yesterday morning driving back home from work after all the rain there was snow on the mountains and it definitely feels like theres more this morning
Its the 30th October now
Im cranking up the fireplace yet again
My guess its not 10 deg Celsius here this morning thats 50 deg f

I was using a fat knitting needle to poke the hole @Budbrother
Some of those tails on the durban x hollands hope x black sugar were close to half inch long dang they want to grow
What a skill it is to transfer a seed with a delicate tail from water to soil using a pair of tweeters
Oh my
Cant grip it to hard but its really hard to feel how much grip you have got the moment you look away it drops and start all over again
And i thought chop sticks were bad enough lol
Then its guiding that tail ever so gently down into the tiny hole :hole:
With out pushing and ofcourse it wants to stick to everything it comes in contact
I must becoming a master at it by now
3rd re run of some of these regs now
Cheers :beers:
Thanks for stopping by

Yeah I don’t play that game when they’re that long and crooked. Finger plop and some soil on top, or ream the hole out like a fat kids socks.
Edit: Always sucked at the game Operation.

Last day of October and i managed to get 16 seedlings into next size up bag full of lots of yummy organic living soil worm castings coco fibre pumice mussel powder fish meal few other ingredients
So that should give them a good head start
And make them happy
Made me happy getting even that many done
Got a few reasonably settled days coming up
When i get home from work I’m going to continue that project and get more into a bigger bags and start soring

Made it through my 25 hr shift yet again
Made up some more potting mix i guess i could call it
And planted up all the rest of my fems into small pb 2 bags
Gives me some breathing space til weather warms up and i got the final bags sorted better
Its quite a racket keeping up with everything and live lol
Got the morning off tomorrow so i just gotta get all mature enough seedlings into that next size up bag now.
Amazing how long a seedling will grow in seed raising mix im thinking as im transplanting these little babies
Now they got some real food to grow in
Yay
Cheers :beers:

Been another busy week
With plants work and life in general
Lots been happening
Some of the Seedlings i put in into the upsized potting mix
Are reacting poorly
Before going to work the other evening for my 25 hr shift i made up a mix of honey water that someone shared a link to the benifts of it.
It was when i got back when i found my 1st droopy seedling
There so many things it could be.
Im think it could be the soil mix i made up.
Maybe to much mussel powder or fish meal and it got too hot
There was a couple seedlings while transplanting that the seed raising mix was dry and medium fell away from the newly formed roots
Or just to wet so hard to know
Heres the recipe i followed
2 parts living soil, worm castings, compost, coco fibres
1 part pumice
1/4 part fish meal, muscle powder
Hand full of gypsum hand full alfalfa/Lucerne meal and a sprinkle of mycelium granduals
Ive bought a small cheap greenhouse for them and set that up for them so they can get more light and warmth.
This whati found when i got home yesterday from work
Propped them up

Then today 2 more looking lifeless so made decision to take them from the potting mix id made and make a fresh batch just living soil and worm castings n pumice
Risky as it could shock them even more but they were not happy anyway.
Ans im really gutted as one was a gifted seed from @skyfishbud white truffle x big bad wolf :wolf:
The other was strawberry cough both fems
The one in the picture is jack herner
Another favorite i had more seeds of her so i put 1 straight into the medium see it that helps.
Probably replace strawberry cough too but i cant replace white truffle sadly :pensive:
Sorry :disappointed:
Cheers :beers:

That’s sad… I’m sorry. It looks like they are damping off. Don’t know if it’s too late or not but bury the stem with dry soil maybe?

Thanks @Caligurl
Got home and did that with the ghost walker scraped away moist soil from around the stem and replaced with dry medium
Its probably due to them having stretched stems and burrying them and the medium i made up is retaining moisture and consolidating
Never added alfalfa meal to my mix before
Maybe too much mussel powder and fish meal too
Could have done with some more pumice maybe
And definitely let it cook for a while before adding delicate young seedlings with long stems.
Ive considered it would maybe have been better to just have transferred them to a simpler medium of living soil worm castings and pumice and leave all the extras for the next transfer to there final bags.
All in hindsight ofcourse and maybe it would still have happened
Who knows
Cant change whats happened now
Doing everything i can to get these babies past seedling stage
What a relief thats gunna be.
Cheers  :v: :clinking_glasses:

Alfalfa is hot and takes 1-1.5 mo to cook. The mussel powder and fish meal aren’t the problem as slower release.

That’s the solution. You know what to do and where you went off track.

Ive got such a mickey mouse set up that im ment to create miracles in.
I cant even stand up to get to my chair.
Its either too hot or too cold
The windows are double glazed
The tables are cluttered and the seedlings stretch instead of forming roots im now noticing
I just transplanted another 9 seedlings :seedling:
This time my mix consists of 2 parts living soil 1 part worm castings 1 part pumice moistened it off as its made then only sprayed water around the inside edge of the pb2 bag away from the stem.
Dont want a repeat of the last transplanting session few weeks back causing me a major.
Im on the edge now with all this seed propagation propaganda.
But i will keep soldiering on.
This morning as im moving things around a pottle falls over lands against the long stem of tombstone and its edge of the pot and near cuts the stem clean through
With frustrated hands and blood boiling i lay the stem on a small peice of tape then another on top.
Very tricky maneuver on your own.
Time will tell if im 1 less gdp x tombstone or not.
Time to go walk the dog then back off to work its a short shift tonight only til 10pm
Yay
Day off tomorrow yay
Cheers :beers:  :v: :clinking_glasses:
