Growing pain in the Pacific

I have ordered two separate types of strain one was Bruce Banner the other is Black Widow. The Bruce Banner strain did not germinate at all and I lost all twenty and the Black Widow strain is doing the same thing. I already tried to germinate ten seeds and only one seeded. Need help in determining the cause of the problem if at all. I did follow the germinating cycle in the bible and I still seem to have a problem.

Have you contacted ILGM customer service. They will send you replacements for your seeds that failed to germinate. I’m not sure what the grow Bible says about how to germinate, but there’s several ways that you can use. My personal favorite is to soak seeds in water until they start to sink. Then I use a clear glass and fill it with paper towels. I soak the paper towels with water and then insert seeds against glass, with moist paper towels pressing them against the glass. I’ve only had a few seeds that didn’t germinate. This allows me to see if and when they pop a tap root without disturbing them. I keep glass in a dark warm place. They will usually germinate within 24-48 hours.

Hi @Lionesshunter welcome to the neighborhood, Every time I have had problems with germination it’s been a temperature issue or a me issue I sometimes get a case of the :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:withit because of my impatience.

There’s a really low chance that you got 20 bad seeds. What kind of water did you use? I dropped 1 of each 3 weeks ago and both germed no issues.

I had a similar issue trying to germinate Bruce Banner seeds a few months ago. I switched strains and used a method I know works. I imbibed my seeds by putting them in a glass of tap water at room temp for no more than 18 hrs to soften the seed hull and get water inside of it. Then, I placed them between two damp paper towels. Then put them in a dark warm place. The warmer the area (up to about 80-85 degrees F) the faster they’ll sprout. Hope this helps. Happy growing.

Sounds like your soil is too hot to me.

Thanks everyone for your input I will try it the next time.

I honestly didn’t germinate my GSC auto and it sprouted just fine. U may still be able to use those seeds
