Thats awsome man! I shoot a stevens 301 turkey. Its a single shot 410. Never would have dreamed id prefer a 410 for turkeys, but shes a killer with some tss loads.

I was hunting waterfowl in the 80’s when the government changed from lead shot to steel shot for waterfowl. Premier duck loads had always been #4 lead. With steel it went to #2 steel and for a while we stopped hunting geese with steel cause that shit just bounced off a Canada.
Until Winchester developed the super steel line with freaking boulders ( t and tt and even triple t for geese ) we wounded more than we harvested.
First bird I got with steel was a super bright drake wood duck which is the only animal I ever harvested and did not eat. Had it mounted and is in the basement.
