Im in coco and was about to go autopots. I held off. Still top feeding but with a vivosun drip feed so I just mix up jacks, plug it in and wait for it run through.
Monday update….
Fed the girls at 1.8 EC at 5.5 PH. Numbers are stabilizing across the board in both rooms.
Here they are in little different lighting, they are a beautiful green.
Numbers on paper….
Tent girls
Big girls
You can see how they have came around the last 4 feedings.
5.5 sounds really low. Is this what coco needs?
I fed 5.5 because last runoff was still 6 or more. Coco should be from 5.8 in veg up to 6.2 in flower. You can see how the ph trended down as EC came up. I’ve found the two are directly related in coco. Extra runoff will cause the ph to come back up, I’m getting 25% runoff and that seems to be what they want to hold numbers. I will drop EC just a bit tomorrow to keep them from getting too high, but with even lower ph to make up for the rise I was getting from lower ec feeds. Coco is a form of hydro, the acceptable PH range is published at 5.5-6.5, I tighten that up to 5.9-6.1 runoff. That way, if they off a little either way, still in range and next feed will bring it back. I’ll have them to the point soon that I will hopefully be able to find exactly what EC and PH of feeds will keep runoff constant without chasing it or correcting every feed. So far, it’s been awesome, just a lot of work watering, takes 2 hours a day to mix nutes, PH and feed each one, keeping track and recording every ones runoff. Auto pots will here soon for next grow, gonna run coco in half and Promix with 50% perlite to compare the two mediums.
Very excited to see how Promix HP with 50% perlite contends with the coco.
Me too, If I get close to same growth, I’ll stay in Promix because of the prep for coco, but I’ll use whichever is better and faster….
Super lush Brother, a run for the record book
My preferred PH for hydro or coco, works for me
Yes sir Brother, they loving it!
Found you lol! You got yourself private so I had to think about it for a second.
Brother that is a beautiful sight, so vibrant and healthy
Looks fantastic! Are those arrow shafts your using for stakes? What’s the deflection rate and straightness? Have you spine tested them yet?
I have a bunch of Spinal Taps Zombie Slayers on ice for emergency needs. Other than that I just use my DeathStalker Executioners… they’re cheap in case I lose one.
@OGIncognito thanks Brother, they still slamming back the MC1 and loving it. I have them at 1.9-2.1 EC and no painted nails or anything but lush dark green! @MartyMarajuanaseed no, they are plant stakes from Amazon, they do look like plastic coated arrows though. They were 48 inches, I cut them down to 40, kept stabbing them into the lights….
@Truetopath , here you go, hope you find something you can use in the madness!
Set to follow!
Helluva update today, started off on the garden, got the upper one turned, roto tilled and planted 50 cabbage, 80 broccoli, 300 onions , now gotta clean the cucumber tunnel and turn it under and ready to plant.
In the grow room, I cleaned up the bottoms of the tent girls and seed girls.
They getting huge roots!
Feed numbers are on point still.
Got another load of clones clipped if anyone needs some……
Overall they are happy and thriving, flipped them today, it’s on now!
Then took the Wife out for Italian and about beat now…… I’m sure she will rub my feet and back for hours so I’ll feel better. But I won’t hold my breath… Happy freakin weekend fam!
That’s hella lotta work done in one day mister. Enjoy that foot rub!! Gonna be a romantic evening guaranteed lol!!
Probably end up rubbing my menthol canna salve on each other so we can move after all that today! Lol Nothing says give me some like the smell of Ben Gay…. Lol
