Hi ILGM Team! Newbie here,
Just wondering if I have a seedling in soil can I transplant into coco? Any help would be greatly appreciated, have a good 1
It isn’t recommended, but possible. Since coco and soil require different pH ranges for optimal nutrient uptake, it can really throw her for a loop.
How old is the plant? If I were switching, I’d personally wait until she has a good mass of roots. Knock off as much soil as possible and lay her in some fresh coco. After a couple weeks she’d be fine.
If it’s an autoflower, I’d suggest staying the course with soil. A transplant of that extent can take some recovery time and with autos, that time is very limited. If it’s a photoperiod, a couple weeks and it’s back to normal.
Hope this helps! Good luck and happy growing!
I’ve done this several times and just do a root rinse on the transplant ![]()
Hey Borderryan22!
Thanks for the reply. She’s a clone and had taken hold quite well (outdoor photo period) it’s been few weeks now and has a few sets of leaves. We are about to go into our last month of Summer. So I thought I might be able to speed things up a bit by transplanting into coco. Might end up with a lolly pop bud on a stick? What do you think?
