Good day to my ILGM family. EOW 8, Day 57 Harvest time Cherry Pie & unknown strain grown from clones.

There are a few white hairs still on the top of some bud sites. I have been monitoring those for about two weeks and they have not changed color. These white areas are closest to the light. Bud sites on lower branches pistils have all ambered. This leads me to believe that the white is caused by the light being too close. I feel those tops should have ambered by now.

IF ANY ONE HAS HAD THIS EXPERIENCE PLEASE SHARE AS I AIM TO GET MORE KNOWLEDGEABLE IN THE ART OF CULTIVATION.

If you notice every pic has amber mix trichomes. I prefer couch lock effect and I think I have achieved that goal. The pics are from top and bottom of the girls. This also is playing a major role of why I will harvest now instead of waiting to see if those couple of hairs will turn red.

Grow Fam, share tour thoughts and lets get better together!

KEEP ON GROWING IT!!!

Hey fam the 2 rop picks are unknown strain, Cherry Pie bottom 2 pics

Often times fresh pistils emerging from growth closest to the light is called foxtailing. This is because eventually she’ll grow a tall pointy Spire out of her big meaty cola. It’ll grow indefinitely if you don’t raise the light or back off the light intensity.

Generally, when I get foxtails due to light, I’ll just evaluate the majority of the plant for ripeness and disregard the newest growth. If it’s super clear, you can always chop the tops off and separate them from the rest of the smoke. That makes for a more well-rounded high (the stuff with clear trics will be racy, since the thc isn’t matured/ripened). You can harvest it all together, or leave it to ripen longer after you back off the lights some. Personally it’s to the point of done where I like it, so I’d just harvest and separate out any immature looking bits.

Thank you very much for your information. This is extremely helpful. Foxtailing totally slipped my mind.
So yes the girls are ready for harvest, I will disregard any new growth.

Look into the crevices and body of the bud for your trichomes color. Sugar leaves, pistols and such always go amber before the meat of the bud.

Thanks yeah I go in to the bud but its kind of hard to focus what scope and snap at the same time. I have a mix of trichome colors.

Cherry Pie & unknown strain sample before dry. Both smokes are nice and will only get better after the dry and cure. Cherry Pie more than worthy to keep around. So is the other I just don’t know the name so I let her go but shall enjoy. One time wonder LOL.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend y’all.

Until next time KEEP ON GROWING IT
