What should I do with all my trimming’s? I feel like it’s a waste to throw them out

I use everclear and @Caligurl ’s ethanol wash “recipe” to make concentrate from my trimmings, then use the concentrate to dose up my edibles

I’m a newbie when it comes to making anything edible
I’m gonna decarb and infuse coconut oil - the clear good oil - in my Instant Pot and try that route!
*I’m not HUGE into edibles so Im going cheap before i commit a bunch of money to dedicated equipment I’ll just have to resell somewhere else.
Pretty much it’s 1 bottle everclear as cold as you can get it (freezer for 12-24 hrs) and as much trim as you can stuff in a 32oz mason jar. If you’re making edibles, you can decarb the trim first (bake on a cookie sheet in the oven at 230° for 45 min, shaking it up/tossing it halfway thru) and then stuff it into the mason jar.
Once you have your trim in the jar, freeze that, too. Again, 12-24 hrs is good.
Then take the freezing cold everclear, pour it into the mason jar until the everclear is just barely covering the trim, close the lid tight and shake the bejeesus out of it for 30-45 seconds. Return to the freezer for 10-15 min. Then shake the bejeesus out of it again for another 30-45 seconds.
Get a strainer and 2 big coffee filters. Place the strainer over a Pyrex baking dish (lined with a silicon baking mat if you have one). Then Put the filters inside the strainer (stacked on top of eachother) and pour the trim wash through the strainer & coffee filters. It drains slowly. That’s fine. The goal is to get as much liquid into the Pyrex dish as possible without getting trimmings into the liquid.
Once you have your strained liquid, leave it out on the counter or some other cool(ish) dry place with ventilation. I just use my ceiling fan in my kitchen to keep the air moving. Leave it out for 12-72 hours loosely covered with a cheese cloth or something (tent the cloth over the top of the liquid so the cloth isn’t absorbing your everclear goodness). The liquid will evaporate off totally and the residue left behind will be a nice strong wax.
I’m simplifying it a lot, but that’s exactly what I do when making this stuff. You can also save the mason jar of trim for additional washes - the yield will go down every time you wash it, but I think you can get 1-3 washes out of one batch of trim.

I guess it’s more or less the same as making RSO except for the use of heat.
But they say outside in a rice cooker is pretty safe, but I know my luck! LOL!

Just a warning, if you haven’t thought about it. You will have an open container of flammable liquid on your hands for a couple days. Caution is warranted.
