Grow cabinet build and grow

Ok, try watering with a lower Ph, around 5.0. No nutes yet, she’s too small.

Yes always let it dry out between waterings.

Not at all, @Rick3. I’m always happy to help a fellow grower. :relaxed:

As long as she’s in a small pot a flush should be ok, but just keep testing the run off and stop flushing once you hit 5.8. That’s all she needs.

Will do. Thanks for the advice . Always appreciated

I flushed it tonight with 3 times the pot size with distilled water ph’d to 5 and was able to bring the run off ph down to 6.0. I will give it another go when it dries up again or should I keep going ?

Yeah, let it dry out a bit before you flush any more. See if there’s any improvement tomorrow.

I’m pretty sure I see some improvement. What do you think ?

Oh yeah, definitely looks better! Much deeper green. Keep going!

Why is this light

Giving me better results than this light? Any theories ?

The LED is too intense for seedlings. If you use one for seedlings, you need to set them off to the side of the light footprint and rotate them as they turn towards the light.

That CFL will be fine for seedlings…

Maybe I will try and bring it back for the veg stage. I’m just amazed how much this plant took off in growth once I switched the light to a cfl.

@FloridaSon probably has best answer. There’s also some evidence that you’ll get a little better looking plants under a white light source.

What’s the deal with the mirror leaf curl going on here ? Genetics ?

Often pH could be the issue when that happens, although temps and/or humidity could also cause that…

I had a very similar issue growing 1st time in a coco medium, light green leaves and ended up with dark spots on the leaves, turns out ph was wrong and she was suffering a mag deficiency. Flush and added epsom salts turned her new leaves a nicer darker green. Just keep an eye on the PH, coco has proven the best so far, plant really took off, doubled the soil grows in about 2 weeks but then disaster struck again, wasn’t checking the PH runoff and got a nut lock. She’s recovering now but coco is proving a tricky medium to get right. Good luck

I think I’m on target with both
My ph going in is 5.7
Ph out is 6.0
Temp is 72f
Humidity is 60%

I also think the 3 point leaf is a little weird but it’s my first ever grow and don’t even know what strain I’m growing lol @FloridaSon

The 3 finger leaves are normal to see the first few sets of true leaves. Then you’ll start to see 5,7,9, or even 11 finger leaves as the plant matures.

I don’t really know about coco, but isn’t 6 getting out of range a little? Thankfully someone here will correct me if I’m wrong. Call this a brain fart.

Mattybear has your answer on the leaves…
