I see a cover in the pic, did you have that cover over the valve? I wonder if by leaving that cover off if the light would retard the root growth into that area?

Yes the cover was on the whole time
I think it’s best to leave them on so no crap gets in there. Interesting thought tho… maybe a screen instead of the plastic cover?

If you feel that you need something to cover it, screen or even plastic wrap (the food type) should work just fine. If you do give it a try, let us know as I’m curious to know how it works out.

First issue: figured out the main line was clogged up and all the pots had been dry for I have no idea how long. Pulled the line and used a syringe with drip clean to blow out the line. Everything’s back in working order but my luscious plants look sad af right now.
Oh no! What do you think clogged them up?
I’m guessing the silica? That’s the only new addition to the mix (well that and mkp and fulvic acid). It was plugged up with baby poop colored mush. I think I may have to clean the res at least once during a grow. Or flush the line more often.

Dang. I started adding silica a while back(liquid) and Havnt had any issues yet. I add it 1st and let it mix for about 20 minutes before adding the rest of the stuff. At least you caught it before it was a disaster! Needless to say I’ll be checking my lines after while

Question for ya. Do you think only the main trunk line was clogged?
I shut off all the valves to the trays and flushed out the trunk line. I had some crap in there but not tons of it and water still flowed. Then I disconnected 1 of the aqua valves and ran some water through it and it came out clean.
The next run I will have an entire 2nd set of lines made up and ready to swap out

I mix 5 gallons at a time to fill a 25gal res using a wavemaker and I add in this order:
Silica (mix for 3ish minutes oops)
Check ph
Cal Mag
Bud candy
Jacks 321
Mkp
Fulvic acid
Check ph
Tribus
Drip clean
F!sh Sh!t
I used Lumina once and it killed the pH and causes a lot of gunk, too.

That was the only line I removed and cleaned that seemed to fix the problem. All the trays filled up and it came out clear when I bled the line. Most of the gunk was trapped at the res spout and within that first bit of the line.

Looks like the Nag Champa on the left looks like she’s recovering from having no access to nutes. I really hope it bounces back 100%. Also the right front Black Truffle keeps growing in REALLY dense and very squat. I defol every day.
DLI is a holding around 50 10" from canopy.

Looking good man filled up that space I’ve tried doing DLI but I don’t think the pixel 5 is up to the task the numbers are wrong for sure … That’s some bad luck with the line I’ve never had that happen … I think they will recover …

Day 24 (week 4)
My even canopy ain’t so even anymore. I did about 75% of day 21 defoliating. I can stop the boost formula or and on to 3.8/2.6/1.8 or what I was using during veg?
Also, how can I achieve an even DLI with these spaces between the LEDs on the hlg 260xls?
